What's on your Monday Menu?
oh wow - there are definitely trails that look like that in the mountains, too. The mountains there look nothing like the Rockies - they're below the tree line, so there's lots and lots of vegetation. So they look more like your picture. Didn't realize there were such places in the Charlotte area, too!
Hah! We were twinning! Yesterday we ended up in a french patisserie too, for an afternoon snack. I needed more sweet like a hole in the head but I am weak in front of sweets.

Hubby and I were just talking about this today. It's hard because we have that "fat" mindset when if we dieted e lost 5 pounds a week but now that we are smaller 1-1.5 pounds a week is hard enough!

Good Morning!
Melody - I'm sorry about your blood sugars. The whole diabetes thing really sucks. At my last check up my PCP told me my A1C was 6... to which I replied 'and?' I know this is considered pre diabetic.. but for me that's the best A1C I've had in 10 years.. curious to see what it'll be at my next check up as I know exercise really brings mine down when I do it consistently.. and I've been consistent with it. I'm hoping to avoid full blown diabetes again for as long as possible.
My pouch has been so noisy the last few days.. the noises are so awkward, weird!

Learning my new normal, one day at a time.
Good morning all. I'm just waiting on my virtual appointment to start with my dietician this morning. Still working on getting this excess weight off. I think my gallbladder is acting up again. I've been having pains just below my ribcage that range from mild and annoying to quite severe. Mostly happens right after I eat. I've only had it once or twice before and it was right after surgery. This time it lasted for two days and seems to be better now, but I'm sure it will be back eventually. Last time my doctor just said to monitor it and if it happens again I may need to get it checked out. So we shall see...
QOTD: I like stuff like London Grammar, Broods, M83 etc.

I had something similar. I went to the emergency room on a crazy Chicago night and by the time that they could see me, it was resolved on its own. I had a much smaller attack about a year ago, but just needed to lie down for a bit. I believe Sheila had something similar.

Thanks! I brought this up during my appointment this morning and the dietician is going to let the NP know and she told me just to monitor it and to reach out to the NP if it bothers me again. It typically is just a nagging pain, but it was severe a couple times to where I had to lie down and it resolved on its own.

I had the same thing and the pain was so unbearable I ended up in ER. They couldn't figure out what it was that day, even with all the tests they ran. But when I talked to my surgeon he recommended the gallbladder surgery. He did it himself and the pain is gone.

Oh wow, I'm so glad removing your gallbladder resolved the pain! Yeah, I have a feeling that's my issue. My mom had very similar symptoms just before she had to have her gallbladder removed. So looks like if it keeps up or gets worse I'll need to look into having mine removed. Not looking forward to another surgery, but if it gets rid of the pain then well worth it?
