What's on your Wednesday Menu?

I am still wearing masks. The science isn't clear yet on if you can still transmit; many people have children that are not yet able to be vaccinated and given nationwide we're running around 50% of adults not vaccinated, it seems like there are an awful lot of people lying about their vaccination status (based on the fact that the current rules are you should wear a mask unless fully vaccinated). Add that to the fact that everyone seems to have the "first week of school immune system" going on, plus allergy season, plus fire season which will turn into cold and flu season, I might be in a mask in public for life, lol. (and then there are the mutations, and the fact that the 97% is not 100% so there's that too). Masks are in my wardrobe for a while at least.
I do think everyone that is fully vaccinated should make their own decisions based on what they are most comfortable with, how much they trust the people around them, and their personal intersections because there are so many variables in each decision.

Most of my colleagues are unvaccinated so I am thrilled that there is still a mask mandate in the office!!
Have you ever seen the super duper old 1960s episodes of the Price Is Right? Its a very different show-no games, just guessing the prices of big ticket items... but its crazy to see the things they considered cutting edge. If you can find them streaming, you should check it out!
Mornin' All!
it'll be pleasantly cool today (low 70s, I think), but rainy. I woke up with a headache (probably due to the rain), but it's much better now. But I'm stuck in the house regardless because of my surgery. I think I've turned a corner as of this morning. The bruising has really improved (just a little on my neck now), and the swelling, while still there, has gone down (it's mostly on my neck now). My face looks so round - it's hard to get used to. I think it's partially the remaining swelling and partially the chin implant. Plus I don't have all those massive lines and wrinkles that I think made my face look longer - it made the eye look downward. I've been a little shocked when I look in the mirror, but DH said he thinks round faces make people look younger than they are - and I think he might be right. I'll take a picture within the next couple of days and post it.
QOTD: I really don'****ch TV at all, so no game shows - but I used to like Jeopardy, even though I didn'****ch it very often (I really haven'****ched TV much at all for the last 20 years or more - but even less so during the last few years)
I gave up on screen printing my menu from myfitnesspal last night, so I'll just type things out:
B: plain Greek yogurt with 1/2 mango (diced), coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake or iced latte (made with Fairlife milk and fake sugar)
L: chickpea/miso spread, cuke and tomato slices on 35-calorie Aldi's bread, cup of cantaloupe cubes
MS: 1/2 protein muffin, baby carrots with hummus
D: I think Madras lentils on roti
have a great day, everyone!

Have you had a favorite Jeopardy guest host so far?
on 7/12/21 10:05 am
I haven't seen them all - I still have to watch Anderson Cooper and Dr Oz - I've seen all the others. I liked the Exec Producer guy - He just looks like a game show host and he was a natural. I like Ken because his is GOAT and the others are just okay - awkward, stiff. It has been fun watching the different ones though.

Good morning, everybody!
Did you ever notice that on TV and movies, people wake up in the morning and just start kissing each other? And nobody ever brushes their teeth first?
Marilyn was watching a marathon of Chicago Fire episodes and they kept doing it. Wake up, notice how lovely their partner looks, and immediately hit them with 10 hours of morning breath.
We spent some time trying to fix our snowblower yesterday. We didn't quite get it. The problem is the shoot that throws the snow out is loose and won't stay in one place. If we are only spending one more winter in the North, I do not want to buy a new one.
Overall, I was pretty sluggish yesterday. Don't know whether it was the heat, Monday's wine or what, but hopefully today will be better.
QOTD: Lets Make a Deal. Its crushing when nice people get a Zonk. Feel so bad for them. On Liz's answer, don't you feel like a genius if you watch Wheel right after Jeopardy? All of sudden everything is answerable.
Breakfast: Protein bar
Lunch: Bratwurst
Dinner: Hello Fresh
Have a great day, all!
