Has anyone ever had a "bone island" better known as enostosis? I already got my results on my X-ray and it says I have one on the left femoral head of my hip.
may be a shot in the dark but it doesn't hurt to ask...

I am not a medical professional but I think they are usually pretty innocuous, like a calcification (my term not a medical one) within a spot in the bone.

Thanks! I also read that they can be painful. They didn't say how big it was(which the bigger they are the more likely they are to hurt) but that it was benign. My hips been grinding a lot along with popping. It showed bone spurs too so I do have osteoarthritis in it too.
