Good Morning JB and Menuers,

Well another morning coming into work with no access to our computer program. I just pray it gets better soon. I hear you JB on the freezing office space. I have on a sweater and long pants today because it has been so cold. It makes me mad because I have so many cute summer dresses that would look great but I would be way to cold to wear them. Even if I throw on a jean jacket my legs would be too cold. If I complain about the cold the men in the office would not be happy so I'll just continue to dress appropriately.

Ok 4 days for my first official 5K and I didn't think it was a big deal till I looked at the roaster this morning. There are 464 racers signed up. I am guessing that is a big race considering there are only 107 of us running the Elvis 100. I am 71.98 miles into that race I am somewhere between Red Banks and Victoria Mississippi. I should be finished with it in the next week and a half. Do you think it is cheating if I count the Whiskey Run as Miles towards the Elvis Run?

QOTD: All of it! I am not picky when it comes to chocolate. I been making Browned butter Raspberry white chocolate chip cookies that everyone has been loving. But I also have dark chocolate covered frozen bananas from Aldi that have been a nice evening Snack.

Accountability: Not bad just some almonds peanuts and the frozen banana.

That's absolutely not cheating. When I did the Lake Tahoe run last year, I counted everything, warm up runs, backwards running, sideways running, etc.

have you thought about wearing crop leggings under your summer dress? That might help you stay warm.

Good morning!

It's going to be a long slow day at work. My customers move into holiday mode a week early it seems. It's 6:45 here and my email is all caught up. Yawn. Other things are fun though. The painting company is bringing their "wood" guy around today to figure out wood rot repair on the house, it's my Son in law's birthday so we are having rolled tacos and beans for his lunch today (he works for me, I'm sure I've mentioned that), the grand girls are coming for the lunch so I get to hug on them for awhile and we have a new employee starting. Fingers crossed that she's great. Long day at my desk means maybe I'll have some time to research the new (used) car we are looking for. Need to trade mine in for a tow friendly sedan.

QoTD: Dark chocolate with a good cup of coffee. Oh yeah. Milk as a sweet bite in the evening. Is white even really chocolate? blech.

Menu:

B: P3 pack and 5 strawberries w/ 1 oz goat cheese

L: tbd. Either a rolled taco, or eating my leftover carne asada meat and veggies

D: shrimp in a miso butter sauce on edamame noodles, sliced tomato

G'morning all!

That eye of the tiger is too funny. When I listen to it while running it really pumps me up. I feel like I'm Rocky. Also, funny you mentioned the murder podcasts because somebody in a running group on FB was asking if it's weird that she listens to murder podcasts while running and somebody answered if it makes you run faster out of fear, more power to you!

I know none of you cares about football (soccer) but allow me a moment of pride for my country. Our game against Austria was a nail biter. They scored first but it was disallowed due to offside. Then the game went into over time and in a span of 30 minutes 3 goals were scored while in the previous 90 minutes nothing had happened. Thank god Italy won 2-1. Our next game for the quarter finals is on July 2 against Belgium. It will be another nail biter. If you hear screaming it's me!

QOTD: dark chocolate please. I specifically love the combo of dark chocolate and coffee. Although for the first time I bought a new coffe/choc combo that I hated, it tasted like burnt coffee. It's from TJ and called Dark Chocolate Coffee Buzz. Not recommend it.

  • E: nothing. I was locked out of the house with Luna all day. We walked a lot but no actual workout.

Good morning!! I hear you on the structure and consistency of being full time in the office. This is my second week and I can't believe how much I am getting done - it's great. What murder podcasts do you recommend again? I need new material and YES, IT IS RELAXING!!! Another busy day and a longer one for me. I'm all over the place today with appts/meetings. I don't mind it makes the day fly.

QOTD - I've always preferred dark, but 80% and above are too dark for me.

My menu is what I am eating for BL&D but the snacks are a planned way to avoid eating something off plan if that makes sense. Yesterday I didn't eat any snacks. I may not today either but I want the option and be able to see where I am at on MFP. It helps me stay on plan better than when I don't use it.
