QOTD- That question is perfect for me, I've been a saver most of my life and only recently have been on a purge binge. That's what happens when you need to get ready to move. I've let go of many things that I didn't think I could. I pared 7 bookcases full of books down to 3 small boxes. I love books and it was hard, but honestly lately I mostly read on my tablet and get things from the library instead of buying them. I have to say that if feels good to let go of things. There is much more to come, when I decide what to actually take with me. The first part was just clearing the house for show. I told my realtor that my garage looks like an episode of hoarders, she told me no not even close. She showed a client a house and the entire living room was cover in dolls 3 feet deep, you couldn't even see the floor and it was a huge room. I guess the owner went a little crazy and started buying them during the pandemic, but it look like it might have been going on longer than that.
I'm supposed to have an offer on my house today. This whole thing has been a nightmare and I'm hoping it will get better. I had to leave my house 3 times yesterday in 100+ degree heat for showings, plus I had a realtor walk in on me. At that point I wasn't going to leave, she said she thought that she had an appointment. I think she just didn't see a car out front and took a chance. It was very rude...
We broke a record for heat yesterday 112, but mine said 117 and it was miserable. I went walking at 5:30AM and it was already hot, I hung my clothes out later than usual due to the people coming through and I was soaking with sweat by the time I was finished. My A/C didn't keep up with the heat and at one time it was 80 inside, which is why I was watching Netflix and brought the fan in from the garage to blow on me. My cat was so hot he was sleeping on the tile counter I'm sure because it felt cooler. It supposed to be 112 again today, and then cool into the low 90's for the rest of the week. I definitely wouldn't have survived without the A/C.
Sometimes I wonder why I'm putting myself through this, and second guess my choices. My roommate is mad at me and doesn't want me to go, mostly I think it's having to move into his own place that is bothering him. He crushed his big toe at work a 3000lb trailer fell on it, it's broken in two places and he's not supposed to be walking, and he's been doing too much. This couldn't have happened at a worse time.
I need to get back to work. Just checking in to say I'm still alive.
Have a great day everyone!

Can you please pass along this message to your roommate? You are not responsible for him. He's had enough warning about you moving out. He needs to get his adult you-know-what out there and get his own place and finally live an adult life.
There...I said my peace and I'm not sorry!

Happy Monday JB and Menuers,
OK this will be a short work week because I am taking off Friday to prepare for the holiday this weekend. Friday I got a Party, Saturday after my race and the 4th of July parade I'll have a picnic at moms pool, and Sunday I'll be at another party. Monday we are off from work as well so it looks like I full pool day Monday. However I got to get these 4 workdays out of the road before the fun begins and with that said my Monday has started with my breakfast and lunch sitting at home in my refrigerator. I don't know how I forgot food. UGH. I found a premier protein that has been in the employee fridge for a few months that I have claimed as breakfast and I see a pack of tuna in my desk drawer. I probably shouldn't worry about food anyway considering I ate out 2x this weekend and the scale is showing it.
QOTD: Oh I am not very sentimental at all. Unless there is a monetary value I am not one to keep much. However a dear friend passed away and her husband gave me a gift. It was a can of Spotted Dick that she wanted me to have. I didn't understand until I really thought about it. Then it came to me. It is the Diamond rings I have from my grandmothers, it is they Tie tack I have of my dads, it is the dog collar of my dog Ceaser. She gave it to me knowing I would never get rid of it because she wanted me to have it. So sitting front and center of my curio is a can of spotted dick. So when I do become a hoarder and they are going through the piles I will have to cry and yell "you can not get rid of my can of spotted dick." Suzy was always clever like that. I am glad to be the owner of the can of spotted dick. But much like you Julia I had a dear friend who was boarder line hording. She was an organized hoarder and she would fill bins with stuff and label them. The labels would say, GOOD JUNK, BETTER JUNK, AND BEST JUNK. I just realized I had some crazy ass friends.
Accountability. Too many chips and dip. I even had a Mexican meal and ate a fried chili relleno.
