What's on your Monday Menu?
Middleton, so pretty close. But you need to rest up and recover.

Good morning. Start of a busy week for me. Some "self-care" things today, hair and nails, a big week at work and finally, at long last, loading the RV and meeting the kids at the campground for the weekend. It's been since February of 2020 since we were able to get both our kids, the SIL and the grand kids together for more than a hot minute and I am very much looking forward to spending the time with them. We got all the details taken care of this weekend and I have what I need for my assigned meals for the family, and things I can eat in a pinch if I need something. Yesterday afternoon we rented The Hitman's Bodyguard and then went to the movie and saw the sequel, The Hitman's wife's Bodyguard. Ok. We liked them both very much, but the language. Especially Selma Hayek in the sequel. Lordy! Just saying. Don't go if you are a puritan. It's shockingly vulgar at times. But funny and over the top and ridiculous. I only do over the top violence. The type that is so insane you know it's not happening in real life -- I can suspend my anxiety for that type of over the top.
QoTD: We have a saying in our house. If you leave something that doesn't move for a week, Mom's gonna throw it out. Because I will. We lived in a house in Ramona for 11 years and my husband was still in mini hoarder mode from his family frame of mind and the garage was a ridiculous jumble of crap. Every Tuesday morning (trash day) for years I would pick out 1, 2 or 3 things on my way through the garage to leave for work and dump them in the trash cans. I did this for years and years. He never even knew until I told someone the story during a dinner party a few years after we moved into this house. Now I keep everything stripped down. I keep cards for a few months up on a board I have then rotate them out and into the garbage. I have a few things from each kid that I keep, and I kept the first birthday card each grand kid made me and wrote on themselves. Other than that, hello trash can, goodwill, the neighbor who will use, free sign on the side of the house. Seriously. Don't put your stuff down in my house.
Menu:
B: chicken tenders
L: left over shrimp chipotle
D: frozen pizza for the hubs. I might just do some beef jerky and cheese "crackers"

Mernin, happy Monday y'all!
QOTD - Depends on my mood. I'm trying to live a simpler life, and sometimes I can throw things away with no problem. Other times, I have to keep every single thing. Life is weird sometimes.
Breakfast - fasting, so hot black coffee and water
Lunch - GOING TO LUBY'S! I'm so excited. Going to do the "veggie" plat which means, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green beans, cabbage, and fried okra! And a roll, and YES I AM GETTING DESERT! Texas peeps know!
Dinner - Umm, If I am still hungry, LOL...I will have a kale/blueberry smoothie! With chia seeds and oatmilk.
As a side note, a weight has been lifted. The position I applied for at work....I got it! I am finally going back into IT. It's been 5 years, but I feel ready. So, in 3 weeks, I will be the new IT Business Analyst (only one for this org) and I am thrilled. I'm ready. I have a lot to do before I go to the new role, but...I am SO ready!
*edit - Not making it FB official or LinkedIn official, as my own boss hasn't been notified. I just accepted it Friday afternoon.
Christina
Let it begin with me.
