What's on your Saturday menu?
this is my third one - yikes. I think tummy tucks are the worst - esp if they do lipo and/or muscle tightening (which my surgeon's nurse said is actually fascia tightening. But I had both lipo and the muscle/fascia tightening). That surgery was super painful. The last two surgeries (arm/breast lift and this face/neck lift) are really more discomfort than pain. But still...ugh. I'm sure I'll feel better when the drains are out - and even better by next Friday when I go in for my first follow up with the surgeon. My last two surgeries did get better day by day. The first two or three days are the worst.
I had muscle tightening and lipo and could not stand up straight for the first week. I had the drains for three weeks. After it was all over with, I was so happy with the results. I am excited to see the results of your facelift, once the swelling if over and you are feeling good again.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I've been really happy with results of my first two surgeries - and I'm sure I will be of this one as well. It's just getting through the first few weeks... I couldn't stand up straight for the first week after my lower body lift, either. That was a really painful surgery. The arm/breast lift wasn't nearly as bad - and so far, this face/neck one isn't either. But it's still really uncomfortable. I'm feeling a little better now than I did when I wrote my first post - but then I've been using an ice pack and I've taken the prednisone, so the swelling may be down a bit. I think it's mostly the swelling that's causing the discomfort.
