What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
on 6/25/21 2:09 am
Hello and Happy Friday! Somewhere around Wednesday afternoon I really felt the week off catch up to me and I am officially under water. I hate having to prioritize amongst things when everything is super important and urgent.
My Photo Friday--does anyone on Earth have a cuter crafting buddy than me?? I realize I had a huge oversight in not choosing him as my favorite coworker of all time in yesterday's QOTD. He made my WFH life much better this year :)
QOTD: What is your perfect temp for sleeping? I like it to be about 65 and I prefer to sleep under the covers. Summer months are always tough for me because I am either too hot to sleep under the covers, or if we turn on the AC, I freeze to death. We are just about to install a new mini split in the bedroom and I am very excited!
Bahhh, what to say about yesterday's choices... same as usual. I had my first 2 things as planned, got busy & skipped lunch, then picked something faster & easier for dinner because I was starving. I need to start accounting for this daily phenomenon in my meal prep and planning better! Today's rough outline =
B: Protein Coffee
S: HB Egg
L: Steak
D: Rotisserie Chicken

Good mornin JB and menu crew! JB your cat is a big deal! So cute!
I had a pretty miserable night...just a lot of pain. I'd fall asleep then wake up in pain...have to switch positions. Rinse and repeat over and over. I've been up since 2 something. Hoping to get a little more sleep in an hour or so.
Not much planned today. We have the kids today until 6. We may run to Walmart to get a few things we forgot to get at the other grocery store we went to yesterday.
QOTD: I like it cold enough to have to use covers. 65 sounds about right to me too.
Food I have no idea yet. I need to stop flying by the seat of my pants.
my pics are of the cats from yesterday (did a screen capture to make it more cohesive) and a picture from Canada...a little before Jasper I think.

Happy Friday!! We made it!
That's the cutest coworker ever!!
QOTD - in the winter the smart thermostat drops to 58 at night and in the summer 70. I like to sleep cold but I am also cheap. In the summer I have a sheet, weighted blanket, thin flannel blanket and quilt; in the summer it's sheet, weighted blanket, thin flannel blanket, knit blanket, fleece blanket and duvet.
I have to do my succession planning today at work so I have blocked most of the day so I can do that and after work, I'm getting my hair cut. The portion of my elliptical challenge today is walking to the memorial area before Everest Base Camp so that seems interesting and it's also a short workout.
menu today
coffee + half and half X 3
PB Toast
Italian beef
not sure on dinner but this evening there will be a glass of wine, I am sure of that.
Photos today are my roses with two different lights on my phone, the bunny that visited my yard yesterday and then my shamrock has flowers; I didn't even know they would do that!

So summer time & 70 degrees you have a sheet, weighted blanket, thin flannel blanket and quilt?
I'm hot just thinking about it!
I also tried the weighted blanket my daughter uses and I felt I was suffocating under it after a minute. Isn't it interesting for some people that blanket makes them relax and sleep better while I would be feeling like they are strangling me?

Even in the summer some nights, I turn the heated mattress pad on low, lol, (in the winter it's as high as it will go).
I love my weighted blanket but it took some adjusting. Also, it's the one I bought pre surgery so it was weighted for 100+ more of me...so it's really heavy snd I have to use both arms if I move it. But it helps me sleep more soundly. I used to be a short sleeper that woke up a lot, now I'm just a short sleeper.

Love your creative pics as always!
I am curious about the weighted blanket. I wonder if it would stop me from grabbing my phone at all hours!

I've seen some ads for once that use a different technology so they sleep cooler; mine at least is work to get out from under so I don't grab my phone or kindle, lol.

Hi all
my weight is up a couple pounds more than i like to see. I did walk a little over 2 miles at the gym yesterday and i tend to spike up after exercise. still super annoying.
QOTD: We usually are about 70 - its warmer upstairs in the bedroom than down so we have the AC and a fan on for noise. its funny, there is NO NOISE at the house yet DH has always slept witha fan. I think it started early with him growing up.
dogs got up at 3 am and i couldn't get back to sleep was thinking about work.. so i did get up and work on my business instead and had coffee. so I've been up a while
