Good morning - I just spit out my coffee over that meme - love it!! I had a great day yesterday, everything just flowed - work, food, people-ing - all of it. We had a work gathering for a lady who is retiring - the first since covid. It was weird, but lovely to socialize! Today is a busy day - I have interviews all day and lots of stuff to get done in between. Ended up switching out my planned dinner last night for breakfast which was so good. I just love breakfast for dinner. So, tonight I will have the chicken shawarma using the air fryer like JB recommended (thank you!) - Can't wait for dinner!
QOTD - All time favorite co-worker, hum... I have had many favorites - no one person stands out but they all taught me something and were truly GOOD people. Or maybe the lady who would go home for lunch and come back with fresh, hot baked cookies all the time now she was pretty special!

G'morning all!
I was too fast at saying I survived the burpees because yesterday I was limping all day. I was hurting from my ankles all the way to my neck. I still did my run, my time wasn't good but at least I did it. The woman who calls herself my trainer will hear it from me because after today's routine of another 100 burpees she is taking me on an "easy" uphill run. I wonder if she is being paid by DH to kill me slowly.
QOTD: not a coworker but a boss. He was the CEO at one of the companies I worked. The typical lead by example kind of boss, very kind, and empathetic. He would set aside a couple of hours on Fri afternoons and walk around the cubicles to talk to everybody. At the time the company had about 1200-1500 employees. When he decided to go on his next venture and leave the company, at his last speech everybody was in tears, including himself. He is called a serial CEO, where he goes from troubled company to troubled company, stays for 5-6 years to fix them then moves on to the next one. I'm still in touch with him and I still think he walks on water.

Right? I thought so! Because why else would she be amping up the workouts if not to kill me?

Well my food was not too good yesterday. Mike and I ate okay at a great seafood place splitting a fish taco with broiled fish. But then DS invited SIL and a friend of mine for dinner and though the swordfish was en pointe the blue cheese on the salad, the rice and the wine weren't. Oops...
Today isn't too terrific either as we went out to breakfast and are meeting Mike's sisters at a pizza place for dinner. Sigh...
QOTD: I worked for several years with two other managers who were wonderful to work with, great managers, and great friends. We were in a new business unit and each managed a different core function. One passed away from cancer a year after he retired but the other is retiring next month and we have continued our friendship since I retired almost 4 years ago.
