When I was working full time, part of my retirement dream was to take bus trips to various tourist attractions. There are generally women in their 60's and 70's and one day trips to casinos, parks, plays, shopping expeditions, or just sight-seeing. They are on big comfortable air-conditioned buses and the driver is friendly and tells you about the places along the way. It is a nice get away without the stress of driving. You just leave your car at the pickup point in a plaza parking lot and drive back home after the tour.
The pandemic ended that and I miss it. Like JB said, the thought of being in an enclosed space with many other people just seems like an incubator for getting sick.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends

Every year around Thanksgiving my mom and I do a day trip by bus together to NYC from MA that leaves at 4am and gets home at 11pm. Its so fun and great not to have to worry about anything except for catching the bus home at the end of the day!

Qotd: Never. Public transportation is not really available, it takes all day to go any where, it consists only of bus routes with lots of transfers and very long wait times.
This afternoon I will go the salon and the new TRADER JOES. It has been open for some months, but as our population more than doubles during season, it's just been too crowded.
Menu
shakes , cottage cheese, and maybe I will try an egg now that it is on the list.

Be careful with eggs! They are tough for most people in the beginning... Even though they are on everyone's first foods list, they don't sit well at first for a lot of people! Now I am almost 6 years out and I could eat a dozen eggs in a sitting again, lol.

Thanks JB. I settled on the tiniest piece of moist fish, less than an ounce. So far it is staying down. And some strawberry yogurt.
