G'morning all!

I survived the 100 burpees. I'm alive. I have a feeling today I'll feel it but yesterday I was just happy to get them over with. My trainer had the audacity to text me and saying "don't you just feel great?" Hmmmm, no! But because I'm a rule follower I just keep doing whatever you send me.

QOTD: not much public transportation in CA. But I did grow up using bus and trains going to school and college. Not sure how I'd feel now using public transportation, although I see everybody in Europe using it just like before but are masked.

My meals yesterday

  • B: fast
  • L: grilled cheese sandwich (2 cauliflower thins + creamy toscano cheese soaked in rosé)
  • S1: keto fudge bite
  • S2: handful of mixed nuts
  • D: 4 chicken meatballs + 1 chicken skewer
  • E: 30 minutes cardio + 60 minutes weight training

WTG on the burpees. I am restricted from doing core do to my hernia repair so I envy that you can do them.

Good morning, everybody!

Today is one rep max week at the gym. I bench pressed 215 on Monday. Getting my weight down would help get me to the one times body weight mark without having to get too much stronger. It was middle of the pack for guys at our gym, which I was pleased with given my age. Deadlift yesterday was 315. Back squat is Thursday. I think that shoulder press is Friday. I might skip that one since it never seems to change.

We are starting to talk about returning to the office. September 1st is supposed to be the day that we return. I am in no hurry. I have been able to carry on for almost 1 1/2 years at home and have no desire to fight the traffic into the city each day.

Since we want to move when our youngest starts college next year, I am sure that I will comply with however many days are required until we get a new house and then 100% telecommute for my last few years.

QOTD: Sometimes I take the train. I like it and people aren't really on top of each other like on a bus. But the train station is two miles from my office which isn't super convenient. I also have flown some. I like flying less and less, although we are flying to Europe and Napa this fall. In general, I am more concerned about crime in the city than COVID, since I am vaccinated.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Lunch: hot dog

Dinner: TBD

Good morning!

JB, dinner WAS delish last night. I had only one meatball and everything else was easy to put in my daily goal. I did have an extra glass of wine. We had a great time on our deck for the first time this season with friends. We also got the quote for the retractable awning we want to get installed, so I should not spend much time on OH or any other place and should be sitting at my desk selling, selling, selling! Need those commission checks for this yucky year of adulting. LOL! I'm looking at a busy day today and no plans tonight and there is rain in the forecast. This should all work perfect for me!

QoTD: Uber/Lyft regularly. So. Cal is no joke about DUI's. So if we are going to be having a drink somewhere we use Lyft. We just never want to take a chance even if it's just a glass of wine or the hub's has a few beers at the ball park.

Menu:

B: left over breadless blt mini's. 1.5 oz pecorino cheese

L: 2 oz gyros meat, 1 oz greek chicken breast, tzatziki sauce, 1/6 of a pita

D: someone gave us about 6 ounces of fresh redfin tuna and 4 oz of yellow tail tuna yesterday. So that's going to be dinner I think with a Mediterranean salad.

S: 1 oz beef jerky 1/2 serving parm Whisps if needed
