Good morning! The storms are done here on Cape Cod so we are going to Mike's house further down the Cape for the day. He wants to get some power washing done. His daughters are staying there in July so he wants to have the deck cleaned up and stained before that.
Last night I ate fish for dinner when we went out but I also had risotto and wine. Not exactly on plan...
QOTD: The only "public" transportation I take is flying on a plane. Obviously everyone has to wear masks on them, which I think should be required on all public transportation potentially forever. Years ago when I rode the subways in Boston I would be creeped out by being so close to strangers when we were smashed in. They do it in Asian countries and I think we should too. I am not afraid of the Covid variants right now though since I am fully vaxxed as are all my family and friends.
TSS: 5 years, 3 months
B: Coffee!!! Scrambled eggs and cottage cheese
L: fish sandwich maybe (out to lunch)
D: Mexican spaghetti squash casserole (leftover)
S: string cheese, yogurt pie

Mornin' All!
I know a couple of people responded to my post yesterday, but I was crazy busy trying to get stuff done before my surgery on Friday, so I never got back to them - will do so today. But about the menu posting - I realized just now that screen printing for this works way better in Firefox than it does in MS Edge, so I'll do it from there from now on! Easy peasy!
I'm making skyr right now - I had to time it right because I have a meeting at 10:00 and then my COVID test (that's required for my surgery) at 1:00, and I won't have time to come home in between. After that I'll be confined to my house until surgery day. It's probably a good thing because I'm now hopelessly behind on classes, and I also have to review our estate plan and get some updated documents back to the lawyer's office on or before Friday (DH will have to take them over...). It's a huge binder and of course written in incomprehensible language, so it's always a struggle (we have to go through it and do any needed updating every other year)
QOTD: I used to take the bus to work sometimes back when I worked, since the stop is practically in front of our house. I also took it downtown a handful of times after I retired, but our route has been discontinued since COVID lockdowns started, and I don't know when they're starting it back up again. But since I'm retired, I probably won't take it very often. Crowds on the bus shouldn't be too much of a problem since I never take it during rush hour now - and during off-times, the thing is pretty empty...
my weight is up this morning for no good reason - might have been too much salt in the lunch I had yesterday at the restaurant. Today is my official weigh day, but I'll check again tomorrow just to make sure that's all it was. I can't imagine it'd be anything else, though (I only weigh a couple times a week now since the fluctuations were starting to drive me nuts). Lunch is up in the air today since I won't have time. I may grab something at the coffee shop where my 10:00 meeting is - or else take a protein bar with me. I'm afraid if I wait until after my COVID test I'll overdo it since I'll probably be starving by then..
Good morning everyone and thanks for getting us started JB.
Today is supposed to be a bit cooler here but the sun is out so I'm not going to complain. The gym was BUSY last night compared to what it has been over the past few months, I was still comfortable with the social distancing but prefer when there are only a few people scattered throughout. It was a leg night so my trainer had me do incline treadmill, S drive, barbell squats, leg press, mountain climbers, deadlifts and sled pushes/pulls. My quads and butt were burning! Tonight I'm planning a long walk for some cardio as long as the weather co-operates.
QOTD: Not at all. Since I live in a rural area, driving is the only way to go.
B - Optifast
L - tossed salad with grilled chicken breast
S - boiled egg
D - leftovers - ground turkey taco
S - fresh pineapple
Lots of water
Morning, happy Wednesday!
QOTD - Not typically, only when in another city or, if necessary for Fiesta, or other events.
Breakfast - fasting, so hot black coffee and water
Lunch - not sure, scheduled to have lunch with my boss (she scheduled a 1 on 1, for an hour and a half....) so not sure where we are going. Thinking it may be the Velvet Taco. Not sure. Thankfully she's open to vegan options, healthy options so we shall see.
Snack - I'll grab some fruit/nuts from breakroom
Dinner - last night I ended up with toast and mushy peas, stewed tomatoes. It was delish, I may end up with the same tonight.
I hope you all have a great day!
Christina
Let it begin with me.

I went to a few little markets when I was there...the homemade stuff and what not are fantastic! I had the best candied pumpkin and sweet potato while there. I'd had it before but man was it fresh there! It'd send me into a sugar fit now though! Lol

The Velvet Taco? Sounds like my kind of sexy!
