What's on your Thursday Menu?

Hellllllloooo everyone! We made it over the hump and now it's Friday Eve. Yay!
Thanks for all of your good wishes for mom. We have literally no updates--it is no longer certain if she will have surgery or not. They are running more tests. If she does have surgery, now we think it will not be until Friday. Because of COVID protocols, I can't be there at all, but I decided to take the rest of the week off anyway, to make sure that I can be wherever I need to be for her or my dad, quickly, as needed.
QOTD: What is your favorite creative outlet? Obviously you all know my love of crafting, generally, but my favorite craft has always been making handmade books. But I haven't done it in ages because it requires a lot of space, but now that I have the room to spread out, I am really excited to try my hand at it again! Bookmaking is perfect for me because it combines my two favorite creative outlets--art and writing!
Yesterday's food choices were... good! I didn't plug it all into MFP until the end of the day and found that I had 775 calories and 34 carbs. Not bad for a day that I didn't pre-plan!
Again, today is up in the air because I might have to be on the road or I might be stuck here. But I planned a menu that I mostly can "grab and go" so it should work no matter where I am.

Good morning menu friends!
Keeping up the prayers for your family JB, esp your mom. I'm glad you're able to take the time off to be there for your dad.
So yesterday was pretty much a rollercoaster of emotions. It ended up being ok. I was able to talk to the nurse at the mental health clinic and she got my antidepressant dosage fixed and I'll start that today. So relieved to get that going. My appointment yesterday was moved to august so I freaked out a bit.
I've decided to do as low carb for me as possible. Push the meats/protein when I'm hungry. I have some cheese sticks and i'm hoping to get to Sam's for some rotisserie chicken.
QOTD: most of you know it's my chainmaille stuff. It really helps me clear my head sometimes. I came up with a new design just the other day using glass navettes that's mounted in a sew on mounting. I'll hopefully fini**** today and I'll have proper pics tomorrow. I'll include one of the small segment from yesterday. It's very close to being finished. I just need to figure out a clasp I like for it.
I used to make books/journals too. Probably not the best but I enjoyed hand binding them. Sadly I haven't done that in YEARS and have no pics but it was such a fun thing to do.
B: JUST egg, chicken sausage, Mexican melting cheese and creamer
L: ground fajita seasoned chicken breast and some onion...this may end up being dinner and the shake for lunch...we'll see
D: PP shake
S: cheese sticks, some of the ground chicken and ???

Melody - have you talked to Madison Rose? I haven't heard from her since her vacation.

yay, jr Friday! Finally!
If they are reconsidering surgery, hopefully that's a good sign!
QOTD - I am not creative as a rule, but if I had to pick an area, I'd probably say cooking. My friends all laugh because I use recipes as a starting point, so when they ask for my recipe for something, it's a general guide, really.
I have a new piece of exercise equipment being delivered today, it's a spine corrector for home pilates and trx work, I'm very excited to get it and try a few things today. That will probably be my exercise, depending on what time it arrives.
menu today
I'm in the midst of my usual coffee with half and half
Egg and cheese
PB toast
something out of the freezer for dinner, maybe falafel
have a great day everyone, Friday is in sight!

That's funny--I am the opposite. I cannot "wing it" when it comes to recipes. I need it exact or its a flop for me. Nothing stresses me out more than a recipe that calls for an herb or spice "to season". Nope.. I need exact amounts or I won't make it.
I'm like you! Following step by step with exact amounts. That's why I'm not creative in the kitchen.
