G'morning all!
Seems like everybody had a nice weekend.
We got to visit with my friend who has just finished radiation and chemo. She looks OK and was happy to have company. She has some neuropathy in her fingers and feet that make it difficult for her to walk. We ended up at an Afghani restaurant. The food was great but I was just a teensy weensy worried because didn't seem to me that the tables were 6" apart. I think here in CA all the rules will change by 6/15.
QOTD: NewZealand is a place I recently thought of. I was listening to a podcast interview with the prime minister of NZ and thought, that's where I wanna go next. Although after the COVID lockdown of last year, traveling anywhere sounds great.
My meals yesterday
- B: Barebells bar
- L: seafood paella
- S: grapes + Parm cheese
- D: some of my afghani rice & stew left over
- E: Rest Day
Happy start of the week.

There is a high end Afghani restaurant in Cambridge. They do things with pumpkin that should be illegal. It's amazingggg.
Ooh, we did have a pumpkin di****ook a taste and realized it would be a dumping danger so didn't eat any more. That thing was sweeter than candy.

Good morning! We went and say In the Heights at the theater last night. Was very fun, though a bit difficult to hear all the words. Some were in Spanish, but you could definitely figure out what they were meaning by the emotion of the actors, some were just a bit to vague while they were in rapping mode. Overall, a sweet, fun couple of hours. But you'd better like musicals if you go. Luckily, we really do. I was in slug mode yesterday with this very sore mouth, but did get a couple Cricut projects started and hope to finish them this morning. Fourth of July is going to be here before I know it.
Today will also be coordinating a schedule between painters and stucco people, meeting my girlfriend for our monthly lunch date (hello shared serving of fajitas) and finding a treat to take as dessert for tomorrow night's dinner with friends. Should be pretty quiet here. Our weather is still just about perfect, but expected to start climbing this week.
QoTD: Tuscany is what pops into mind first.
Menu:
B: hb egg, 1/4 c cottage cheese
L: 1/2 order fajitas, no tortillas
D: 4 oz chicken thigh, baked with baby potatoes (2 oz) and corn on the cob wheels.
Calories: 657, Protein 82, carbs 25. I might add a protein shake. That should work well with my mouth and bump up my total calories.
Peace everyone!

I saw it too and loved it! I am having a hard time convincing Grim to watch it--he is not generally a fan of musicals :(
Quadrophenia?
I think I wore out that album when I was a teen.
