What's on your Monday Menu?

Good Morning all! Happy Monday!
I am on vaca for 3 glorious days :) It's not a very exciting few days in the traditional sense--no travel or anything... but I am excited nonetheless. I am in the midst of putting together a new craft room for myself and so far I would say it is about 30% together, so lots left to do! I hope I actually get to get it together enough to actually CRAFT in it this week, lol.
QOTD: Where do you want to travel to, based solely on a movie or tv show you have seen? Grim and I both love the 1952 movie The Quiet Man and it's my #1 reason for wanting to go to Ireland!
Ok food was not great last weekend. Lots of fun events with fun food. Better today!

Good mornin everyone.
It was a rather cruddy weekend overall. I had kind of a breakdown mentally yesterday. Lots of tears and pain. I'm just really tired.
Not much planned for the week ahead. I have a very important appointment with my psychiatrist Wednesday. We have the kids two days this week but next week we'll have em 5 days. My brothers MIL is going out of town for about a month. Lovely. So we decided to take some time off too after she gets back. Due to animal commitments we can't travel over night. I'd love to see the mountains but that's just undoable. So we'll hopefully do some day trips. There is a state park we want to visit called caprock canyons. We might go to Palo Doro canyon state park too. It may be too hot though. Time and weather will tell.
QOTD: New Zealand...hands down. The Lord of the Rings isn't necessarily based there in the movies and definitely not the books but I think middle earth would so much be what the movies made New Zealand be. I just would love to visit.
trying to get back on track.

L: split pea soup or pinto beans with ham

Your day trips sounds like a lot of fun! Not sure if it is the same for you, but near me, Groupon often has some really good deals for local museums and parks and interesting things to do that make good day trips.

I'm so glad you mentioned museums! The huge museum in the town a few miles south of us has an exhibit on the prohibition era in the area. Also a rock and mineral exhibit. That'll be a must for one day! Thanks for the reminder!

DD went to Big Bend last fall and loved it, but that may be too far for a day trip.

Mornin'!
I never got around to checking in yesterday, even though I had my menu all prepped. Oh well. Weekend eating was good and I did a lot of cycling - 21 miles yesterday. Not sure what I'll do today exercise-wise - I have online Mah Jongg at 10:00, so maybe I can manage to get to water aerobics and back before then.
the new summer session started today. I'm auditing a poli sci course on genocide, a course on Islamic art & architecture, and an intro to astronomy course - all online. The first week's lectures and readings for the genocide course were posted yesterday, so I've been plowing through those. This'll be a busy eight weeks (with juggling the three courses), but I'll be out of commission for about three weeks due to my upcoming surgery, so at least I'll have something to keep me busy!!
QOTD: nothing really due to a movie or TV show, but New Zealand popped into my mind earlier today, too - probably because they were doing a story about it on the BBC radio early this morning. But other than that, I have a long list, and probably only 20 more good years to do it, so I'd better get cracking...
