Mornin' All!

well I was going to bike over to the gym this morning to lift weights, killing two birds with one stone, but it's supposedly already really humid out there, so I might have to drive over. But I'll check. I'd really like to get at least 45 minutes of cardio in today, too, esp since I'm going out to lunch (my film group is back to meeting over lunch again - after 15 months of Zoom meetings), but I may have to do some walking/Zumba/whatever youtube video instead.

accountability has been great the last few days and I'm feeling much more svelte this morning, but I'm not going to step on the scale because it'll probably be something like 0.2 lbs down. I know that's kind of the way it goes when you're normal weight or only slightly overweight (I'm 5 lbs overweight now), but it's still always a disappointment when you work so hard!

QOTD: we have four Turkish Vans. We got Anubis at age 3 from a breeder. He was actually never bred (he was neutered as a kitten), but he was a star show cat. At three YO, of course, he was already named. We could have changed it (I would have preferred a Turkish name, given he's a Turkish cat), but DH really liked the name Anubis, so we kept it. Aytekin is also a former show cat, but I didn't like his registered name at all. He has a littermate who lives in Denmark whose name is Attakan, and I really liked that name, but I didn't think he should have the exact same name as his brother, so I named him Aytekin instead, which sounds similar. It's a Turkish name, but it doesn't mean anything - it's just a male name (like George or something). Minik is our third cat. It's a nickname that Turkish people frequently call their young children or pets, roughly translated as "little one". He was just a baby when we got him, so Minik fit him perfectly. Although now he's around 16 lbs and towers over the other cats, so whenever a Turkish person learns that his name is Minik, they laugh. Kardelen is our last kitty. It means "snowdrop" (the flower). One of my Turkish friends came up with that name. I had no earthly idea what to call her, other than I wanted a Turkish name. To narrow it down, I told my friend that maybe some name that had to do with snow, since she's mostly white. The friend kept throwing out suggestions (the Turkish words for snowball, snowflake snowman, etc etc etc), and then she finally sent me a link to the Turkish version of Wikipedia that included the name and a photo of a snowdrop (the flower). That was it! I loved it! So that was her name.

In light of the QOTD, here are a couple of pics of my cats

Good morning! Great pic's. I wish I could find a good NE lobster roll here, but not even close. Enjoy your trip!

Working from home today. Love the PJ's, coffee and pup cuddles, but everything is just easier at the office. I'm on the fence about going back fulltime.

Jim - we watched that murder episode last night - WTH? Across the street? Fake SIL? Who does that? They had it coming! Those poor kids. I'm with Marilyn this!

Thankful the weekend is upon us. Looking forward to relaxing and enjoying every minute of sunshine!

Did someone say walk? Sunny, Lucy and Chloe

Have a wonderful weekend!!

I loved when they were Facebook posting the pictures of the twins lying in a field with Missy Seward, but still saying they couldn't leave NICU yet.

My friend named her daughter Hazel ten years ago and it was so weird then, but so trendy now!
