G'morning all!

Happiest of birthdays to Grim. "My present to him is that I am going to the office all day so he has a nice quiet day to himself!" This was always the present I asked for Mother's day when kids were little. Take the kids somewhere and leave me behind.

QOTD: very low key and quietly. Couple of my friends dropped off presents and nothing bundt cake cupcakes which was a total surprise. It actually brought tears to my eyes seeing them all masked up and at a distance dropping off stuff. With DH we took a bike ride and then feasted on the cupcakes.

My meals yesterday (ADF)

  • B: fast
  • L: premier protein + coffee
  • S: barebell protein bar
  • D: 1 hb egg + tuna pouch
  • Total : 500
  • E: 5 miles jog

Happy Jr Fri-yay!

Good morning! Happy Birthday, Grim!!!! I hope you both enjoy a wonderful dinner together.

I am looking so forward to this weekend since it's finally going to be warm and sunny. I'm getting tired of the May/June gloom we've been having. We are golfing on Saturday and going to the beach on Sunday - sounds perfect to me!

QOTD - Last year for Rob's birthday in May I had planned to take him to a Dodger game in LA. I had already purchase a ton of Dodger gear and everything but that didn't happen. We are going to go this year instead. My birthday in Sept last year we ordered Katz deli online and enjoyed bagels, pastrami, corned beef, rye, black and white cookies, babka and all the fixings - just me, Rob and Jess. It was fun. This year I we are going out for some serious CRAB, I can't wait!

E- power walk and doggy walk

Have a great day!

Good morning peeps,

Happy Birthday Grim! With all those birthday cake memes, you're probably baking one right now,,, I can almost smell it.

I'm so jealous of you being able to go out and celebrate, ENJOY and CELEBRATE - you'll see why when I answer QOTD.

Another scorcher here today so my exercise will likely just be my session with the trainer at the gym later this evening.

QOTD: My 50th birthday was in January and we had high restrictions so all we had planned was a get together with immediate family. A week prior to the big day, my son tested positive for COVID so I was in isolation when the call came that my test came back positive also. I spent my 50th birthday ALONE isolated in my house and didn't see a sole except for a co-worker dropping off WFH paperwork on my doorstep followed by my parents leaving me dinner and my gift outside my back door. BLAHHH (on the bright side my 50's could only get better!)

B - protein shake

L - spring roll with ground chicken - no wrapper

S - greek yogurt

D - Optifast shake

S - fresh pineapple

3.5 L water minimum

This was the Birthday Workout from last weekend.

In teams of 2, one work at a time except the runs (40 minute cap):

200 run

70 Deadlift 155

70 Hang Power Clean 115

70 push-ups

200 run

70 shoulder to overhead 115

70 DB snatch 35

70 DB shoulder press 35

200 run

70 pull-ups

140 air squats

70 calories bike

200 run

We got about halfway through the bike when the timer ran out. I did ring rows instead of pull-ups to try and make up time. Humbling to be the weaker partner when paired with a 70 year old.
