What's on your Monday Menu?
Good morning, everybody!
I have a text from my son, at 4:43 on Saturday morning, that he "failed so hard at making pasta."
I guess he took the smallest pot that we have (like you would use to boil an egg). Filled it with nearly a whole box of elbow macaroni and whatever water could fit in the remaining space, put it on the front burner, and lost interest.
Marilyn woke to the smell of burning noodles. I slept through it, but she said he did help her to scour the black charred noodles out of the pot and they were able to save it.
He had his second COVID vaccine dose on Saturday, so he is feeling under the weather today. Mostly muscle aches. We are now all vaccinated except DD, who is getting her second dose next week.
QOTD: Moving to Florida when we know we can't do it until, at the earliest, our youngest is through school next year.
Breakfast: omlette
Lunch: Lamb
Dinner: hello fresh
Have a great day. all!

My other son felt better after a day, so hopefully he is better tomorrow.

Making pasta at 4:43am is probably at least 50% of the problem.
College.

Good morning and happy Monday!! Here's an astonishing fact...for those of us in the US, Memorial Day was ONLY a week ago.
I had a great weekend, good workout on Saturday on the TRX and then yesterday a kayaking lesson; I can officially check off all the things I have to be able to do to kayak in Antarctica next year....now, I still need to practice all the things but at least I know I can do them. The one I was most anxious about was getting back into the kayak in the deep water and that went well...it's not upper body strength but leverage.
QOTD - all the work things right now, very much in transition mode with a lot to do.
One of my besties is moving back to Minnesota on Friday so several of us are meeting up at the local wine and cheese place for dinner/farewell. We always get together in January for her birthday so I'm so looking forward to Minneapolis cold again...seriously, I have been above the Arctic Circle and never as cold as January in Minnesota!
menu today
coffee plus half and half X 3
Egg and cheese
slice pb toast
we usually split a sharing salad and a cheese and meats platter so I'm sure that will be dinner. For those of you that like to look at menus, here you go (the Mozzarella bar place is still my favorite but this one is close second).
Exercise today will be a walk at lunch time and I need to be sure to get my 100 oz of water in, I didn't yesterday because I didn't want to get in and out of the wetsuit and didn't want to have to pee. I am really feeling it today!
Have a great Monday and start to the week all!

Have you got to Maine? I am thinking about North Dakota on July 4th week because our office is closed.

No, my only post vax trip has been key west. Not sure Maine will be in the cards this year!
