yes, they cater to clientele. Never had cactus before - it tasted like okra to me but they also had Spanish rice, those little puffed rice chips. etc

Mornin' All!

Hot again today and rain forecasted for this afternoon, so it'll be another day indoors. Good day to caught up on class readings and movies (this is the last week of this particular class - I've really enjoyed it!).

Yesterday morning I was out biking around town and happened to pass my new friend's church (the Presbyterian pastor). I heard music and remembered they were having an outdoor service - first time they've had an in-person service in 15 months. So I stopped by. It was very nice - she's a great minister - and the people were so welcoming. And the scenery - beautiful. The church is right on the lake shore, so we got to watch the lake and boats and gulls during the service. Lovely. I'm not very religious, but I'll probably go back. Seemed like a really nice community. Progressive, too - which is important to me.

QOTD: the only thing I seem to obsess about is my weight. I want to lose ten lbs, since I felt and looked my best ten pounds ago. You'd think that with all the obsessing I do about it, I would have taken the steps to do something about it. I do start off well in the mornings, but then by the end of the day I've consumed what for me is maintenance-level calories. So here I sit. I've been hoping all the exercise lately would help - and maybe it will somewhat - but doing it that way is VERY SLOW GOING. I don't know why cutting calories seems to difficult - but it does - and is. Maybe I need a CAMAW week, too..

B: plain skyr with blueberry/strawberry compote. Coffee with half & half.

MS: strawberry protein shake blended with ice and kale

L: 1/2 pita with 1/2 C Madras lentils (made my own yesterday - a little better - and much cheaper - than the Costco version!)

AS: not a protein muffin. Or if I do, just half of one. That's what started me down the wrong path yesterday. So maybe 1/2 of one plus a L&F yogurt. Or just the L&F yogurt.

D: coleslaw made with Asian-style dressing and topped with grilled chicken breast strips

ex: weights

have a great day, everyone!
