What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
LOL. My husband sent me that video saying I have competition. I'm known to be a total mama bear.

This was VRBO. We have 4 adult couples who travel together (I.e. nobody relying on Bank of Mom & Dad), so although the headline price is scary, it's actually much more reasonable than a hotel. Plus much lower food costs.

Good morning everyone! JB -- I like that you named the little ******** owned up and moved on! Good job. Kelly, Em is adorable. I loved those days!!!
Today is the last morning to wrestle with the bid from hell. My job will be finished on it by noon and it goes to the load team. A nice way to head into the weekend. I did pretty well on my food program yesterday though I did add a treat at the end of the day. My weight has been up 2 pounds all week and I can't even pretend to wonder why. A ****tail here, a mini Hershey bar there -- it all adds up. I ended my day at 1042 cals, 90 grams of protein, 18 grams of carb. I'm totally ok with those numbers. I definitely will add more veggies in these next few days, but I have not missed starches at all this week. I'm also working on next week's menu and will hit up the grocery store this weekend.
Not a lot of the agenda for the weekend. A front porch date tonight with the next door neighbors, a back patio grad party with the neighbors 2 doors down tomorrow. I would like to grab one of the grand girls and take her clothes shopping and then I can take the other one in a week or two. Maybe a movie. Definitely want to walk this weekend. It's just beautiful here right now.
QoTD: Nearly every evening after work lately, people come by with their dogs. All the dogs end up in our front yard wrestling and playing and all the humans stand around and talk about every subject you can imagine. This goes on for 30 minutes to 2 hours depending who shows up and when. Brown dog and Black dog get a huge workout and we get to connect with the neighbors. I usually start wrapping it up by going inside to start dinner. Sometimes I have to give the hubs a 5 minute dinner warning to get him to wrap it up. But it is a really happy, relaxing way to wrap up the day.
Menu:
B: 3 oz chicken thigh, 1/4 c cottage cheese
L: 1 beef sausage
D: I believe it will be turkey and cheddar roll up. And there will probably be a Friday night glass of wine on the neighbor's porch.
S: 1 oz beef jerky, 1/2 serving Parm Whisps.
Peace Everyone!

G'morning all!
JB - What a pretty garden! I've always been helots of people with green thumb
Yesterday we had an impromptu bday celebration for a friend at starbucks. Her bday is this Sat and normally we would have taken her out for dinner but this year she has too many graduations and weddings in June, and asked us to postpone till July. So we lured her into a starbucks after work, without her knowing our plans. I made her a monkey bread, we had candles and flowers. It was so fun seeing her surprised face. We will celebrate her again in July but it's refreshing getting together with friends without being worried about COVID!
QOTD: my happy place right now is seeing friends and my hopes for being able to go back home in Sept.
My meals yesterday (my menu is lopsided because I tried as low carb as I could go to compensate for the monkey bread I knew I was having)
- B: fast
- L: hb egg + 2 hot&spicy shorty sausage
- S: a slice of monkey bread
- D: 5 Costco chicken meatballs
- E: 30 minutes cardio + 60 minutes weight training
The pics are from last weekend. We chose to go to a couple of beaches that weren't touristy. With the tide so low we decided to bike, but it wasn't easy. It was a total workout.
Happy Fri-yay.
