Mornin' All!
we'll be having a streak of really hot days starting today, so I'll be doing any outdoor exercise pretty early in the morning for awhile. But today, it's weights at the gym, so timing doesn't matter. Yesterday I biked over to a coffee place in the morning to meet up with a friend, and I met up with another friend last night. I've got some meet ups and activities planned for the weekend, but for today, no. I guess I'll try to spend most of it getting caught up on my class.
today is my six year surgiversary. Unfortunately, I'm up half a pound since yesterday, my official "weigh day" (in addition to official Wednesday weigh-ins, I record my weight from the 3rd of every month (my surgery date) in an Excel spreadsheet). I'm sure it's water - but ugh. Disappointing. Oh well - hopefully that means I'll "lose" weight next month!
QOTD: I'm a fairly adventurous eater, but not when it comes to meat. I'll eat beef, pork, chicken, turkey, and some fish and shellfish. So cicadas - no. When I volunteered in Africa 20 years ago, the specialty in my village was caterpillars. I knew this beforehand, so I brought a jar of peanut butter with me to have whenever caterpillars were on the menu. There are some things I just refuse to eat..
B: Greek yogurt with blueberry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: coleslaw made with an Asian-style dressing and 2 oz of chicken breast strips
AS: protein muffin - or 1/2 a protein muffin and a L&F yogurt
D: I was planning on turkey meatballs with a serving of those "veggie made" Birds Eye "noodles" (the rotini with marinara sauce one), but DH invited his mother over for dinner, so now I have no idea what we're having - but I may still have that and make them something else. I don't need my weight to go up anymore...
have a great day, everyone!

Mernin, happy Friday Eve!
QOTD - I don't eat meat, shellfish has always been a no, arthropods, GAH, so, I'm going to say cicadas will remain a forever NO as well. I will forage and eat roots, berries, etc. before I would eat a GD cicada. Just, no. Do scientists, journalists need things to write about?
Breakfast - fasting, so hot black coffee and water
Lunch - I dunno, didn't bring anything, and not sure if going out or will just order something in like a veggie sandwich. Had a rough tummy night last night. I've been eating more kimchi and drinking kombucha and I think something just tore my stomach up last night.
Snack - pepitas and mandarins
Dinner - Vegan spaghetti with impossible burger, sauce, salad and garlic toast
I hope you all have a great day!
Christina
Let it begin with me.
