What's on your Thursday Menu?

Hello my dears! Wow, it's Thursday already? Ok!
So fun to see so many old faces here this week! Can anyone drag AngryViking back, lol? Then we'd really have a full house!
I had my performance evaluation yesterday and other than the fact that my entire department didn't meet our hiring goals (during a pandemic...whatever...), the only constructive feedback I got was to stop working so much (have I mentioned how great my boss is?)! So, despite the fact that I was not even close to done with my task list, I logged off at a normal time and had a nice afternoon :) I am going to try to do that more often, especially in these last few weeks while I can work from home. I think I am going to stop going in once a week, too... This is my last chance to enjoy this luxurious WFH life--the files can wait!
QOTD: The FDA said yesterday, "we can't believe they have to say this, but 'if you are allergic to shellfish, do not eat cicadas'", hahaha. Soooo how hungry would you have to be to eat a cicada? I don't think of myself as particularly squeamish eater, but I think I am a "no" on the cicada. It's just so big and ugly. Although anything dipped in chocolate is always a temptation... ;)
(c)AMAW is still going well over here. It's like my gnawing hunger disappeared. Yesterday I wasn't hungry so didn't feel the need to eat a few things I had planned for, so I ended the day completely satisfied at 630 calories and 8 carbs (milk in the coffee again). I am sure this lack of hunger won't last, but it's a good feeling after a few weeks of feeling sort of out of control. Anyone else feeling similarly after cutting the carbs this week?

Good mornin menu friends, thanks for getting us started as usual JB!
I have an appointment today to get my stimulator programmed again. Man I hope it helps. I did something stupid yesterday. I decided to try mowing. I mowed about 3/4 of our front yard. I had my mom start the mower. Two things I learned...I am terribly out of shape and it'll make me have a lot of pain. I got about an hour of activity according to my Fitbit. It felt good to be active though! Hoping the programming will let me be more active.
Other than that no big plans for the day.
Yesterday with the kids went well...no fights! It's a miracle! LOL
QOTD: I would eat it if I had no other options. I've eaten a cricket before that was covered in chocolate. Yes it was a dare and no it wasn't that bad. Cicadas though I wouldn't eat...unless I had to. It's the size that bothers me I guess. I saw Brianna Keiler on CNN eat one...she handled it like a BOSS!
B: chicken sausage, just egg and coffee before
L: low carb tortilla with a slice of lunch meat, 1 tbs crumbled blue cheese
D: ???
S: popcorn, yogurt and ???

Yay for jr Friday!
qotd - hard no on the cicada, chocolate dipped or otherwise. I am fascinated by why people with shellfish allergies can't eat them though -- why? They are not shellfish! Is it an iodine thing? There should be more details.
Today's menu is
coffee plus half and half x2
ozery bread with 1 tbs pb
buffalo sausage
Crockpot chicken
ex - walk and round of push-ups, crunches.
My calendar said yesterday was the first time in 6 months I did the rower and I felt it by the end of the day, lol. Quick recovery and feeling fine today though!
have a great day all!

You made me google it! They are related genetically to a lobster! So, now I am slightly more intrigued.

morning all
I was feeling a little annoyed with the scale this week, not as low as it had been so need to hunker down plus move more. plus I think I will cut out my shake. I like having it for mental satisfaction with fiber one cereal and SF whipped cream as a topper but its not filling then I'm hungry an hour later. I didn't sleep last night and was just falling asleep at 4 am after just trying to sleep all night when the dogs woke me up. I mostly was thinking about work crap all night. its hard to turn the brain off sometimes but I did have some interesting thoughts on a project due next week.
QOTD: nah I suppose if I was on naked and afraid which I couldn't be on because of obvious reasons or alone I would.
food plan:
coffee with almond milk and SF French vanilla creamer (I raided my ecommerce stash for that)
B:7:30 AM eggs on 35 cal toast with laughing cow cheese
Water
S: 10:30 AM yogurt with fiber one bran on top
water
L: 2 PM chicken sausage in pita
water/coffee
4:30 PM-GYM
water
D: 6:30 PM pork chops/air fried asparagus?
more water
S:8:30-9 Yogurt and fiber one again?
