What's on your Wednesday Menu?

Grim found a home for the brownies where I cannot get them. I won't tell you where...
Good morning! I stayed the course yesterday, and while my (c)AMAW was not perfect, I ended up at 860 calories, 102 grams of protein, and 16 grams of carbs. That's a lot of protein for me. I probably won't poop for a week (sorry -- TMI). I was stressed at dinner time as I had a hair appt and didn't get to dinner until nearly 7:30. I was audibly saying "put the fork down, breathe, you are going to make yourself sick". That is way too late to get dinner for me. I have found my regular routine keeps me most full and gives me a brain and energy boost at the times I most need it. When I get off track, I have a hard time with indigestion and belly pain/nausea. Today will be more normal again. Just a big work day and that's all that is on my agenda other then our weekly dinner with our buddy.
QoTD: London, Paris, NYC, Washington DC. That's limited because I probably do NOT know what I am missing out on out there in the big world and I plan on doing my best to remedy that in the coming years.
Menu:
B: hb egg and 1/4 c cottage cheese
L: boneless, skinless chicken thigh, 3 oz, 1 oz feta, 3 grape tomatoes
D: roasted bourbon bacon beef sausage, small amount of roasted butternut squash and 1 or 2 brussels sprouts, which I usually end up not eating.
S: beef jerky and 1/2 serving parm whisps. I also have incredible chicken wing leftovers with me but don't think I'll have room or need.
Calories 928, 71 protein grams , carbs 31 grams

I am new and have a stupid question.... what is (c)AMAW?
Welcome. AMAW is all meat all week. CAMAW is Critters and Meat all week. Both are carb cleanses to eliminate sugar cravings and get people back on track. Not unlike the pre-surgery liquid diet but more filling.

I had the same question! C is apparently for critter -- so eggs, cheese, dairy. AMAW is All Meat A Week. We are choosing dense proteins as our complete meal, as much as we can, just to give our systems a little wake up call. The further out you get, the more you remember that a clean dense protein such as chicken breast will fill you right up where sometimes everything else will leave you feeling not full.
You are doing great!

Good morning!! Glad to hear you had an awesome day at work and with detoxing. You are nailing it on the carbs! I had a good day too. I forgot how satisfying just protein is and my hunger seemed tame. A couple things that are hard to get used to again is weighing and measuring every little thing for accuracy. I thought I was good at 'eyeballing' uh, nope. I am seeing the errors of my ways. The other thing is drinking during and 30 min after meals. I had given that up and struggled with that yesterday. Hopefully today is better.
The gym was weird for me yesterday. I went in happily, but was sketched out when I didn't see anyone cleaning anything - staff or patrons before or after using whatever. Instead of using/cleaning a dozen weight machines, I stretched and did incline tread. Less germs.
QOTD - I love the idea of a big city - so much to do! But I think a tropical paradise with lots of outdoor activities (walking, exploring, hiking, golf, swimming) and tons of relaxing sound more my speed. Now I want to go!
Water/vitamins
Exercise - 30 min walk at work, 1 hour hike after work
Have a great day!!

OMG yes with the weighing and measuring. You would think that after doing it for 5 years straight, I would have a better eye for it by now but I am never ever right. And when your total calories are like 800, being over a few ounces will make or break the day. Grim always used to remind people that one extra slice of cheese that you eat mindlessly while you prep dinner is about 1/6th of your total calories for the day in your first few years post op.
G'morning all!
Typical summer day here: foggy and drizzly.
I pulled the plug and bought my ticket to Italy for September. I hope by then things keep improving and there are no new restrictions. By the time I go it will be exactly two years I haven't been home.
QOTD: Moscow. I have never been to Russia. Non English speaking doesn't scare me. After a month of full immersion I might come back speaking Russian. ;)
My meals yesterday
- B: fast
- L: scrambled eggs + 2 cauliflower thins
- S: 1/4 cup deluxe nuts
- D: 1 cup Mexican cauliflower rice + 4 turkey meatballs
- E:30 minutes cardio + 60 minutes weight training
Happy hump day.

We are going to Europe in September as well. When we first bought the tickets, we did so mainly because we figured they would be rolled over into 2022 (cancelled 2020 trip with an expiration date). But it looks like we are going.
We've been to St. Petersburg, but Moscow seems so more more Russian.
