Mornin' All!

I'm leaving in a few minutes to bike across the lake to meet a friend for coffee. I haven't seen her since the pandemic started. And this evening I'm meeting my new-ish pastor friend for ice cream (yikes! (yikes for ice cream - not my friend!)). I felt so terrible for her this morning. She posted a thing on Facebook for Pride Day (she's very progressive and of course, accepting of LGBTQA folks), and some people really trashed her in the comment section. Luckily, most people were very supportive and said they were so very glad for clergy like her, but a few people were absolutely horrible and hateful. It was sad and disgusting. She's such a nice person!!

nothing else on the agenda today, but I'm behind on movie-watching for my class, so I hope to get caught up today. I also need to make a call to some social worker at a nursing home. They have a resident whose court-appointed legal guardian passed away recently, and I'm being considered as a replacement (the ward I had last year died in October). I'm fine with that (if they'll have me). I had a nice long break so...

QOTD: Scotland was the first place that popped into my mind. One of my ancestral lines is from there, and they speak English (well, I'd still struggle with it - I have to turn on subtitles whenever I'm watching a movie from/about Scotland - those are some damn thick accents!!). Like Jim, I'd prefer a place with a lot of English speakers given I'd be there alone and for a whole month. BUT....if we literally have to stay in one place (like one city), that wouldn't work since I'd want to travel around while I was there. I saw a "Treadmill Traveler" youtube video last winter (for watching when you're on your treadmill - but I just jogged/walked in place) of Amsterdam. SO MANY BIKES. And it's flat...which means super easy biking. And a lot of people there speak English. And there are lots of museums and other cultural things - so maybe there.

B: plain Greek yogurt with blueberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: an iced latte at the coffee place - made with 2% milk and SF syrup

L: Madras lentils from Costco (half an envelope) on half a pita

AS: protein muffin?

D: chicken filet and vegetables

ES: ice cream with my friend - so I'll need to stick to the plan today!!

have a great day, everyone!!

So many of the people in the Netherlands are at least tri-lingual. My friend Cees says they do it because no one else speaks Dutch!

one of my Chilean friends told me that wealthy people in Chile often hire Peruvian cooks, because the food in Peru is so wonderful. We had a couple of Peruvian restaurants in town, but they've both closed. Too bad - I really loved the food!

Good Morning JB and Menuers,

I love all the chatter on the tread lately. You know there is strength in numbers and I feel very strong with all of you posting. I just got one thing JB I am not judging but just asking why are those brownies not in the freezer or in the garbage by now. I would have such a hard time with that.

So Yesterday's QOTD hit home last night. The neighbor that we are not fond of because they park on the road is trying to build a shed but they need access to there back yard. They had a surveyor come yesterday and lay stakes. My DH said she was sitting in her car looking and crying. We now have about 4 feet of land that we thought was theirs. Now they have no access to drive to there backyard unless they ask us. I am going to use it as leverage to get them to stop parking on the road.

QOTD: The French Riviera I don't know just always wanted to go there and as long as it is hot and beachy I could lay on a beach for a month by myself no problem.

Accountability: I ate to many nuts and kinda grazed dinner

TSS: 3 years 5 Months 22 days:134.4 (Lowest 129.4)

B: Coffee with SF CM Chocolate Caramel creamer

MS: Carb master Cinnamon raisin cottage cheese, and berries

CB: Coffee with SF CM Chocolate Caramel creamer

L. 1/4 cup Philly Cheesesteak inners one meatball and Carb master cinnamon bun yogurt

D: meatloaf baked beans, and pea salad.

Exercise: Dreadmill for 1/2 hour. It threatened to rain but it has not yet. UGH.

Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. I started a sublingual B12 3x a week

Everybody Have a great rest of the short week.

Brightest Blessings.
