What's on your Tuesday Menu?
G'morning RNYers!
Long time no seen/talked! I think the last time I posted was mid Feb. Funny how you can get busy not having a job. What have I been up to?
- After about a year of not working and moping about my business (corporate events) disappearing due to the pandemic, I started volunteering at a vaccine clinic in Feb. It started with 1-2 afternoons a day and it morphed into a full time 5 days a week volunteering gig. They finally closed down the clinic last Fri because I guess now you can have the vaccine at most pharmacies.
- The volunteering gig showed me I really like talking to people and being with people. I have WFH for almost 20 years, so now it's time to get back out there and look for an office job. Don't wanna do events any more.
- Weight wise doing OK. In Jan I was about 10 lbs over my personal goal. Tried different things but somehow couldn't get back to my lowest. Then remembered Christina and IF. Figured I have nothing to lose but the weight. Lo and behold it's working, very slowly but it's working. I started with 16 hours, then 18, then 20, and now I do ADF (alternate day fasting) which is almost 36 hours. During the fasting days (3 days a week) I can have max 500 cals which in my head is easier than not eating at all. The non fasting days I keep my cals under 1200. I'm saying all of this because I don't want anybody to panic seeing my menu on ADF days. Exercise wise I have kept up with 3 days cardio (5 miles wog/jog) and 3 days of weight training.
- There is more going on but don't wanna do an info dump.
QOTD: across the street, yes. Next door on the right, no. On the left, meh.
My meals yesterday (ADF)
- B: fast
- L: premier protein + coffee
- S: premier protein + coffee
- D: Tuna pouch + 1 hb egg
- Total = 460 cals
- E: bike ride on the beach + 45 minutes elliptical
Missed you guys and happy to be back! Mwah!
