What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning! I did not stick to my dinner menu last night. We were tired from work and cleaning and I found out that my evening schedule was going to be a bit different than I planned, so I went into what to use first and what to freeze mode. What to use first was a fresh chicken pot pie and mashed potatoes. I didn't eat a large serving, but oh lordy, did the carb**** me like a truck. Heart racing and sweating. Higher in cals than I had planned for too. And ultimately, not satisfying. So I was jonesing for food all evening. Tonight we are going to dinner at our friends. He'll make something really good for me because he's been on this journey with us since day one. I usually cook for him every Wednesday so he's told me to just show up and relax. Work is going to be crazy again this week. As it will be until we get this big bid put to bed --I'm managing lots more of the daily work so our team can focus on the big bid. Then when they get all the data, I'll put the bid together and submit.
QoTD: Dinner out on May 13 to celebrate a birthday. The friend above's birthday to be exact. At a fabulous Mexican restaurant. Indoors. A group of 5. Lot's of laughing and talking over one another and huge hugs at the beginning and the end and masks worn only to enter and exit (and potty trips). It was so joyful and I left in such a great place in my head. Going to a wedding Friday, though most of it will be outdoors, there will be lots of hugs and kisses.
Menu:
B: meatball with roasted peppers and onions, 1/4 C cottage cheese
L: enchilada hot dish
D: tbd
S: beef jerky and a few Whisps.
Peace Everyone!

Mernin' errybody, Happy Wednesday!
QOTD - Umm, I'm still waiting for it! I live in Texas, and sorry but our governor is an asshat. So, while hubs and I are vaccinated, we are still taking every precaution. Thankfully our family is all vaccinated (including all kids!) so we are able to see kids, parents, etc. which has been wonderful. But it's basically work, grocery store, immediate family and our home. No concerts yet, which is a bummer. I'm so grateful we are vaccinated though, that it makes everything worthwhile.
Breakfast - fasting so hot black coffee and water
Lunch -UGH, nothing planned so something out I suppose. I am thinking soup and salad, or a veggie sandwich from somewhere local
Snack - mandarin and pepitas
Dinner - Something out. My mother in law is out of town, so we are taking advantage of NOT cooking. Last night I had rice and beans on corn tortillas with amazing green avocado salsa from a local place, hubs had chicken
I hope you all have a great day!
Christina
Let it begin with me.

Good morning, everybody!
Madison Rose is going to be jealous, because I took two naps yesterday. And, I will have you know, that these are wholly separate naps, not just getting up to pee and falling asleep again.
My older son has to get up for work at about 6:20. Which means that Marilyn gets up and wakes him. Usually I sleep through that, but yesterday morning, I woke up took my meds, vites. and Miralax, and went downstairs for my morning OH post and sports reading. At about 7:15, I started feeling sleepy and went upstairs.
Bed naps are unusual for me, I'm much more of a couch napper. But this one lasted almost 3 hours. At 10:15 I got back up and started my day in earnest. At about 3:30 I laid down on the couch, turned on true crime dramas, and bam: second nap. This one lasted about 1 1/2 hours.
I finally got off my butt last night and lifted at about 7:00. I must have got overheated/dehydrated at the golf thing, because I did nothing but sleep and drink fluids yesterday.
Hopefully, I remain vertical for most of today.
QOTD: Buying my concert tickets last week definitely gave me that feeling.
Breakfast: protein bar
Lunch: Sausage and cottage cheese
Dinner: Hello Fresh
Have a great day, all!

It was too long and too hot. I drank 2 Gatorade?s, 1 water and one beer over the six hours, but it wasn?t enough, I guess.
