What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Hey! Welcome back...
QOTD: I recently started pre-planning my menus again. I have had weight gain over the last 9 months, and have been getting back to my normal routine the past 2 months. Normal as in bodybuilding exercise and counting my macros. Have been back to four times a week Weight lifting sessions for 10 weeks now. I went through a huge transition in the fall between two injuries and moving from New York to Florida. Amazing how much strength you can lose in the short time, although my upper body, seems to have rebounded better and have already had a few PR - personal records.
I bought an Apple Watch on Sunday, so far so good. I put a minimum have a 30 minute activity goal on it. So on non-weightlifting days I'm going back to having at least 30 minutes of activity even if it's just dancing in my kitchen as a cook - which is what I did when I first had weight-loss surgery.
I consider my menu a plan, not written in stone...but I know having one helps.
Food:
- cottage cheese, rice cakes
- chicken stirfry, strawberries
- Chicken, peppers and onion and sweet potato
- Post workout: Protein drink, pretzels
- Nightime: Casein protein
Exercise: Lower body workout

You are my personal hero, Cynthia! So many set backs and changes but you never use them as an excuse. I love how you always bounce back and end up even stronger than where you started.
Too sweet!

Good Morning JB and Menuers,
JB you have been in my thoughts and prayers and I am glad your back. Sorry it is under these cir****tances that brought you here but this is just proof that this community works. I could not imagine not having this platform to fall back on. Especially since my in person support looks like it has gone away for good. Hopefully Grim will pop back in here and there so we can get a little of his Wit that we miss so much.
QOTD: Pretty much laying low but I have a bad baking problem and I can not stop baking cookies. DH and I are joining a new church so bible study has been a great place to make the cookies disappear. I am also gearing up for my first 5K on July 3rd. I planed on running last year but it was canceled.
Speaking of running this race was brought to my attention. Kelly, Jim, and all your runners this one may interest you. I have a friend that wants to do this so I may. .
Accountability: Pretty much none. I ate deviled eggs and Carrot cake cookies for dinner.

Aw thanks. I am happy to be here too. I took a break at the right time for me, but it's great to be welcomed back by this amazing and supportive community.
I relate to the cookie baking issue! I wish I had the self control not to eat what I make. I am way more controlled than pre-op but I can't seem to walk away with having nothing.
The Elvis run sounds fun! Have I told you that my cousin's kid is a professional Elvis impersonator from Oklahoma? I saw him this weekend at the family reunion. He's a hoot.
I got married in Vegas and really wanted the Elvis Minister experience but It was not available at the Venetian Hotel and casino. Maybe my next marriage. Just kidding this is forever.
