What's on your Wednesday menu?
Good morning, everybody!
We are starting to talk about going back into the office. September 1st is the first day, that anybody is required to go in. But we have opened to a relatively small percentage of employees if they want to go back earlier. I think that a number of the younger employees miss the social interaction and want to go back if they can.
Personally, I have no desire to sit in traffic for three hours a day so that I can be on the same phone calls that I can take from home. So, I am going to go in as late, and then as little as possible. I am thinking one day a week. I do miss lunch at the Palm though. Ahi tuna salad will get me through the first day back.
QOTD: Kind of similar to Trish - something that can be monetized quickly. My experience is that some of the best businesses are some of the most boring. Routine, repeating customers and less competition. Not overly dependent on the skills of the owners, so they can be sold for a multiple of earnings.
Breakfast: omlette
Lunch: tuna
Dinner: chicken
Have a great day, all!

In the day, I was more of a "potato chips and glass of chardonnay" kind of girl. Or the businessman's lunch. That was awesome. Rib Eye for dinner. Those days are over for me know. I had fresh Ahi tuna last night though. We had it two ways. Raw in soy sauce, and lightly grilled with sesame seeds and sesame oil. Excellent meal!
Good Morning Mel and Menuers,
I never got back to read any post yesterday. I been busy here at work and that is only good for the old paycheck since I work on straight commission. I got another meeting today at 10:30 so I'll try to be quick. Things are heating up in the medical supply business. I am confused of where it is heading. Every time you turn around another manufacturer acquired another manufacturing company. What this means for me is kind of up in the air right now so I am trying to wrap my head around it and get in the game before I miss out.
QOTD: I always wanted to run a diner. I love to feed people so it is right up my alley.
Accountability: I was frosting the cupcakes I made for bible study tonight and I did lick the icing. They are cappuccino flavor. I had to make sure they were good.
