Good morning, everybody!

Marilyn's mom is going home today. She came out to help drive my older son back from school and spent a couple of days visiting friends in Wisconsin. Marilyn will take her to the airport.

My weightlifting meet is on Saturday, so this is kind of a light week in terms of exercise. Probably just today and tomorrow, and rest on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

QOTD: I can go either way. Definitely can sleep with the TV on, if napping. But I can also sleep if its quiet as well. I love sleeping in hotel rooms with the room darkening shades and cool temperatures

Breakfast: omlette

Lunch: Salad

Dinner: Fish

Have a great day, all!

Good morning Mel and Menuers,

Mel all you can do is keep a tight wrap on that thumb and try not to use it unless you can get some type of skin glue that will hold it till it starts to heal. You can ask at the pharmacy if they have it available.

How was everyone's weekend? Socially it rocked for me. Nutrition wise this is the first time I willie nillied it and it was not good. We got the pool uncovered and it should be up an running for next weekend. I bought a Leather Harley riding jacket at a yard sale. I always loved them but was always to big. It was in close to new condition made in the USA and a size small. It fits perfect and I got it for $20. DH used leather cleaner and leather protectant and it looks brand new. I also did some dumpster diving this morning. On my run I saw these 2 rafts that just need some TLC so I got in my car and went and grabbed them after my run. I love free stuff.

QOTD: The louder the better for me Fan and T.V.

Accountability: None Wine, Bloody Mary's, cookies, funnel cakes, French fries, Not good however it's just a slip not a slide and I will reign it in by Friday.

I had too much fun socially too. Not my best behavior in the food and drink department. Though by last night I felt a little more in control. But man it was fun hanging out and enjoying fun people! Back on course. We got this!

Hi Everyone

yesterday was my first 12 hour shift back at work. It went really well. I was able to drink water and eat at intervals. I also had good stamina. I went into a fib during the night. I have had intermittent episodes in the past that spontaneously resolve after a few hours. However I am still in it this morning. My cardiologist did prescribe Cardizem as needed so I took a dose this morning (first time I have needed it). Anyway I am waiting for it to work and convert me back into normal sinus rhythm so I can go on my walk.

QOTD: I can sleep with either quiet or white noise. Sometimes if I have trouble falling asleep I will use white noise to distract my mind so I can fall asleep.

Hope you feel better soon. My afib was connected to my Apnea.

Does your apnea contribute? If so it may be gone in the not so distant future. I'll say a prayer for you.

Hi Teenie

thank you for your concern. I had a cardiac work up after my first episode of paroxysmal a fib (which was negative). I have only had a handful of episodes but after the first episode I was assessed for sleep apnea which was positive I had been really good since starting the CPAP (no a fib and low apnea episodes). however since I started losing weight my episodes of apnea events have increased (I religiously use my CPAP). I should probably visit the sleep specialist to see what's up.

I did convert back to normal Sinus rhythm and was able to take my walk

Glad your feeling better. I got to goal over 2 years ago and I still have apnea. Your a better person than me cause I can't use the c-pap I have no idea how you do it.
