What's on your Wednesday menu?

Good morning menu friends. Hope that you're all doing well.

My eye surgery was moved to this Friday. Depending on the time I may not be able to start the menu post that day. I am glad to get it done as it's still bleeding.

My weight just seems to go up every day and i'm literally at my wits end with it. I talk to my psychiatrist tomorrow so I'm hoping she'll switch me to an old med that didn't cause weight gain and worked better for my depression. I'm frustrated to tears. I know I could do better with eating. Just so frustrating and embarrassing.

Today's plan is taking a friend to the airport and a grocery store run. I've had a headache all week so I'm not really feeling up to anything.

QOTD: Would you rather always be 10 minutes late or always be 20 minutes early?

Easy one for me...early. I like arriving right on time for most cases but I hate being late at all if I can control that!

B: 3 tbs JUST egg, chicken breakfast sausage and raspberries - coffee before

L: 2ozs pulled pork, no sugar added BBQ sauce, vegan smoked cheese and ???

D: probably more pork and ???

S: probably more raspberries and a piece of GF toast

Morning all! Super quick post before work.

QOTD: early! I despise being late.

B: fasting until noon. Black coffee, hot tea and water

L: Ezekiel toast with peanut butter and a protein shake

D: either leftover salmon & cauliflower rice or pork

S: SF chocolate pudding or Fairlife chocolate milk (gotta get my chocolate fix in!)

Good morning! This is our last full day in Florida as we leave early tomorrow and there is a lot to do to pack and button up my place for the summer. There isn't much left in the refrigerator so food is sort of iffy.

QOTD: I would always prefer being early vs. late. I REALLY hate to be late, though I learned years ago to call ahead if I am running late to ease my own anxiety (and that of whoever I am meeting). My absolute preference is to be precisely on time because I hate to waste a minute of anyone's time, including my own.

TSS: 5 years, 1 month

B: Coffee!!! scrambled eggs and cottage cheese

L: cottage cheese and nut thins

D: I have no idea!!

S: nuts maybe?

Liz, do you know anything about Cape Coral? We were just curious.

LOTS of canals. It was overbuilt at some point years ago so had the reputation for being an inexpensive place to get a house on the water. Not necessarily now, though there seems to be a lot of older housing (at least in listings). Pretty busy with traffic, much like Fort Myers. But that is true of most areas on this coast.

Thanks. We were curious because its the only place that seems to have any housing inventory left. Everything else is "pending". Maybe we will check it out next year.

I did notice the maze of canals, but a few houses that we saw were on the river. Marilyn thought it was part of the Rotonda, which scares her because it looks like the death star from Empire Strikes back, but i don't think it is.

Good morning, everybody!

Up early today because I have a bunch of phone calls this morning, starting in about 15 minutes from now.

Its cold here this week, just the 50's and 60's. I think that it is supposed to get nicer next week, but we seem to alternate between cold and warm weeks lately.

I think that if I free up a bit over the next few days, I am going to take my car to get serviced. I've barely driven it over the last year or so. The window sticker says August or 50,000 miles and it only has like 48,000. But its been a year, so I think that its better to be safe.

QOTD: Early. Although I have been told that more than 5 minutes early is the same as late, because you are inconveniencing the person that you are meeting with. So get to the meeting early and wait until a few minutes beforehand.

Breakfast: avocado toast

lunch: hamburger

Dinner: Hello Fresh

Have a great day, all!
