What's on your Tuesday menu?
Hi all just popping in.
DH had back surgery last Wednesday so we have been in TN and have been helping him recover while trying to take care of 4 dogs and get a house ready to sell. its a bit much but i'm doing well. oh and we are refinancing the GA house to add to that fun.
food yesterday wasn't super awesome and I got to a point where I stopped recording it during the day. there were pizza toppings, chicken, more chicken, 3 joseph 60 cal pitas, whipped cream, yogurt.
today i'm trying to be a bit more structured. I'm debating running an early lunch to go to store to buy some really cute clothes for my online store. not sure if I mentioned I am a personal shopper and we run online shops. Still debating.
qotd: reading speed. typing faster won't make my brain work faster but reading may...
food:
chicken, chicken, shrimp, coffee, more coffee, water.
Morning all! I'm so sleepy as usual. This getting up at 4:30 to work out is rough as I'm so not a morning person. I'm used to sleeping in to at least 5:30. Hoping this becomes habit soon and not so rough for me. To top it off I have a headache and a slight sore throat. I refuse to believe I'm getting sick again as I just got over a sickness from hell! In other news I just purchased a piano that will be delivered on Friday. I'm sooo excited!!! I haven't played or took piano lessons since I was a child and I miss it terribly! So I can't wait to get back into it and relearn!
QOTD: definitely wish I could read faster. I'm already a pretty fast typer. I can read fast, but if I do I normally don't comprehend a single thing! My reading comprehension skills always sucked in school! Lol

Mornin' All!
well we're back from Chicago. My plastic surgeon said if he had to do more work, he'd add a fleur-de-lis cut to my LBL (which all my consults said we might need to do - but they all said they'd do a standard LBL first just to see if that did the trick). A couple of years ago, after my standard LBL, he suggested we do either that or an extended flank incision (he does such a thing to arm/breast work to get rid of "side boob", but on mine he wanted to extend it further down - to my waist or lower, to get rid of some of the excess skin he wasn't able to get to with my LBL). It was way cheaper to do the extended flank, so I chose that - it did help but there's still more skin that could come off. I'm not sure I want to go through the pain and expense of doing a FDL cut, though. I'm sure it would look better, but I'm not sure at this point if I really care. At 60 years old, my bikini and midriff-wearing days are far behind me. He's going to send a letter to my insurance company to see if they'll cover all/part of it, but I'm pretty sure they won't. And even if they do, I'd still have to think about it. Plastic surgery is so painful and I told myself the last time I went through it that I wasn't going to do any more (although now I'm doing a facelift this summer, so....), but I don't know..we'll see.
other than that, we had a good time in Chicago. We spent a few hours both days in the city - and then I met a couple of my cousins in the 'burbs for dinner last night. Only weird thing was a false fire alarm at the hotel yesterday morning - at 4:45 a.m. UGH! Eating was OK up until dinner last night. I honestly wasn't even that hungry, but of course I ate anyway. I brought half of it home - but I was still too far over my calorie limit. Luckily it should be easy to deal with that this week - not much on the docket.
QOTD: I already read pretty fast. I'm also a pretty fast typist if I'm on my laptop. It's a different story on my phone. I watch my niece and her friends type on their phones super fast with their thumbs and wish I could do that as well.
B: plain skyr with 2 T lingonberry preserves, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake blended with kale and frozen strawberries
L: Costco chicken skewer on 1/2 pita with 2 T hummus and cucumber slices

D: 2 oz ham, cole slaw made with low fat dressing (1/2 reduced fat mayo, 1/2 plain Greek yogurt, plus seasoning)
ex: at this point I'm planning to go to water aerobics at noon
have a great day, everyone!
