They decided I am still disabled and will keep my medical coverage. That was a huge huge worry for me. I should get a back payment as the appeals should've taken 90 days but instead took nearly 6 months. Even if I don't the medical coverage is most important and having a little income each month will be so beneficial!
thank you!

Hi Everyone,
my daughter and I did go on a hike Saturday! It was beautiful and my stamina is getting better. Still need some rest at the top of the hills. I guess that can be expected since I am usually less than 500 kcals/day. I have one more week of puréed diet then can start my soft diet phase. Overall it has gone great with no food intolerances to date. However I am staying away from bread and other simple carbs. Mostly protein.
I decided this weekend that I need to plan some physical events to train for. I have signed up for a 5k trail run/walk in June and a 10k trail run/walk in September. This gives me time to get some stamina for the uphills since both have elevation gains of 700-1000. My husband and kids are going to do it with me.
QOTD: I am pretty new to the Bariatric diet so far not a lot of cravings except weirdly I want steak. That is the plan once I am authorized for regular foods. I also look forward to not crushing pills. So gross.

i am trying to get at least 60 grams of protein each day.
