What's on your Thursday menu?
I see everyone trying IF but I have a question. Do 0 calorie sweeteners work in the plan like stevia or swerve when your on your fast time. I don't think I could drink just a black coffee.

Super good question! As someone who used to be the 11 splenda in a venti americano I feel you. There's different schools of thought, basically it's clean vs dirty fasting. You can start off with a stevia or swerve in your coffee if you feel it absolutely necessary, but would recommend you start weaning off (during your fasting window). The science behind intermittent fasting (which I won't do justice to) has a lot to do with insulin response and sweeteners (natural or artificial) can affect that.
I never thought I would be able to drink black coffee, ever. Now, I add a pinch of pink Himalayan salt and a splash of water and its the best thing ever! It's made a huge difference in my RH too.

Let it begin with me.
03/2009 - SW:261 GW 135 (CW:131)
Good morning, everybody!
Since it is so cold here, we decided that we would try and celebrate my birthday over the weekend. Marilyn would like to go to an outdoor rooftop type of place for drinks and snacks, but 37 and windy isn't doing that for us.
The fasting seems to be going well. I haven't weighed for a few days. Last night, I was ravenous when I got home from the gym. I ate 1 1/2 big tortilla shells with Fajitas stuff in them. I was bracing for a stomach ache afterwards, but nope, felt fine.
I found a 2010 quarter yesterday and thought I had moved us closer to 56, but it was Arkansas and we already had it.
I ordered a new toy from Rogue Fitness and it is slowly coming. There are 5 boxes and I have received 2 so far. Hopefully, the rest come today and tomorrow so that I can assemble it over the weekend.
The QOTD reminds me that I still have a refund owned from a concert that was scheduled last summer. I can't see any likelihood that it going to be held this summer and would like to just get my money back. Plus it was a graduation treat for my son (Green Day/Fall Out Boy/Weezer at Wrigley Field), but I don't even know where he will be next summer (classes? internship?)
QOTD - I am vaccinated and will be traveling to see my family in June. We have plane tickets to go to Europe in the fall, but I don't think it is going to happen. We were supposed to go on a River Cruise last summer, which was cancelled, and Lufthansa only gave us a credit for our airfare. We scheduled for September, which is the end of their window, but Europe is not opening up (and actually seems to be closing). Hopefully, Lufthansa will expand the rescheduling window if travel is not available.
Breakfast: Chicken Fajita
Lunch: Leftover steak
Dinner: TBD
have a great day, all!

I hope you'll be able to get an extension on that Airfare. I only have 1 canceled event from April 2020 that I still have not been refunded for. It was a Johnny Cash Tribute band at the Casino and I was holding out because I really wanted to go. I agree looks like that won't be happening any time soon.

Dead & Company gave full cash refunds within days of cancellation.

I saw them at Soldier Field and they were phenomenal. Sound so clear, 1 note and you could tell which song it was. I might say they were my second best as well. Allman Brothers first.

they might expand their window -- United has done it a couple of times. As long as it's a reschedule (so they're not out any money), they should - if nothing else, for good will. We have a trip to Italy scheduled for October. I know the company that made the arrangements on that end is being very flexible about rescheduling - I'm hoping United will be as well, but they have over the past year, so... Anyway, I'm hoping it'll be a go. It's still six months away, so we (and you) may be in luck.
