Learning my new normal, one day at a time.
Good morning. Thank you for getting us up and running. I'm hoping Melody's eyes feel better real soon and she's back to feeling well.
Yesterday was a real small pouch day and a the pouch is cranky day. I did a terrible job getting proteins in. I didn't even do a good job getting calories in, and that was with 2 squares of chocolate last night. I ended my day at 797 calories. Everything I had planned to eat sort of turned my stomach, so I had just bites of what I had planned out. And I did zero exercise. I don't think my iwatch even ticked off standing enough. Definitely not moving enough!!
Today we move the RV to the campground (I did accomplish loading the RV last night, so I should credit myself for that!). This Santa Ana we are having turns out to not be so warm, and so chilly at night. That's really common. The wind is coming off the desert floor, so at night it gets crisp!
QoTD: Fish. I've become a Sea Bass lover, and also eat tilapia. Before they were not even allowed in my house. And I never cooked them. Now, I've got some stellar recipes for them. Also, we notice that I tolerate a lot spicier foods then before.
Menu: Still feeling off this morning, but here's the plan.
B: Egglife wrap, 2.5 oz gyros meat, 1 tbsp feta, 1 tbsp Tzatziki sauce (this is delicious!)
MS: Jack Links cheese/jerky 90 calorie duo
L: 2 oz taco meat, 1/4 c refried beans, 1/2 pack Quest loaded taco chips
AS: 1 oz beef jerky, 10 parm Whisps
D: homemade chicken/pork meatballs (3), 1/2 c fishy protein noodles, 1/2 c marinara sauce, parm, 1/2 c sweet kale salad
S: 1 Hershey's mini with fake coffee.
Peace Everyone!

Good Morning Trish and Menuers,
Thank you for starting us of. I hear you when you say your struggling. I have had snacking problems since Easter and I can not quit. I know I should not be putting stuff in my mouth but it goes in anyway. I know I can reign it in but when. I hope it is not to late by the time my mind listens to my body.
So we got the snow Jim was talking about yesterday. And it started just in time to keep me on the treadmill instead of my morning head clearing run. I probably will do treadmill tomorrow too since it is saying the temperature should be 27°. That's to cold for April.
QOTD: I'll say Protein shakes. Obviously I never did them before and I was having triple 0 yogurt for breakfast but the shakes have more protein so I opt for those instead of yogurt. I still cook with yogurt and make ranch dip with it but not as much as I used too. BTW I am getting two cases of the new premier chocolate peanut butter shakes delivered today so I'll let you guys now how they are after I try one for tomorrows breakfast.
Accountability: I thought these Honey Mustard Bakonette pork rinds from Frito Lay were a good Idea. They are way to good and I could not stop. plus all the other crap like parm crisp with squeezy cheese, and 5 ingredient coconut cookie snacks from Aldi. UGH
SS: 3 years 4 Months days: 134.2 (Lowest 129.4)

Hello everyone and thanks for getting us started!
I had a bad day yesterday. I have to have a shot in both eyes and then I'll be having eye surgery on May 12th. Even though I knew it was coming it felt/feels like a gut punch. My appointment was at 2:30 and I didn't leave the parking lot until 6:30. I was livid over that and combined with everything else I just was **** poor person to be around...I still kind of that way today.
I see my PCP today. Hoping to get my A1c tested. I did an at home test to try and get an estimate and it said 5.1 (I don't take those as the actual number as they can be inaccurate by a certain range). My last lab work was in November and it was 5.5 then.
I just feel like a failure at everything. I hate that feeling! I'll get over this but I'm really tired of feeling like that. Thanks for ready my dribble.
Mel
