Intermittent Fasting

I did IF for about a year before my RNY. I loved it even though I didn't lose a lot of weight. Once I am at goal, I plan to go back. One of the things I liked the best about it was that I felt like I had better control of emotional eating doing IF. I also felt that I didn't have to invest so much time planning for eating, thinking about eating, etc. Sort of freed up my mind, you know? I also realized how much of my day was spent worrying about eating.

Absolutely. I didn't realize how much I thought about food until I didn't have to. Now, I do get excited when it's my time to eat, and I am like "ITS TIME!!!". But it's really very different from before. I just wish I had known about it years and years ago.

Absolutely agree!! I struggle with some food addiction issues, so I feel like IF helps me keep control of those.
