What's on your Wednesday menu?

Unfortunately that's the club I'm in. I couldn't get comfortable...at all. Feeling pretty miserable at this moment. I'm working on ZERO sleep and i'm in quite a lot of pain. The Loritab isn't doing much at all for me. I think I'll switch back to Tylenol 4s today and see how that goes. It's going to be a miserable day I think. I'm super itchy and I don't know if I can take a Benadryl with these meds. I'll be asking my mom when she wakes up. My mid back incision is what's bothering me the most. I can't take a real shower until tomorrow afternoon. I'm pretty sure the itching is from dry skin from the prep soap you have to use.
So no big plans for the day. Hoping for a nap or 10. Ugh. It could be way worse feeling...pain wise...but sleep would've been nice. Not even the med I take for sleep(remeron) made a difference. At least my kitties kept me company during the night! That's unusual for them to stay up there on my bed all night...the usually raise some hell during the night LOL
TOTALLY SILLY QUESTION TODAY!
QOTD: Is a hotdog a sandwich? Why or why not?
I say it pretty much is. It's an open faced sandwich.
Food will be hit and miss today. Going to have egg roll in a bowl for lunch but other than that I've got no clue.
hoping you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

Good morning all! Been thinking about you Melody! Hoping you find some relief for your pain soon and are able to get some much needed sleep!
I have been pretty slack on working out so I said enough is enough and got my butt back on the wagon yesterday since my weight has been up and it's soooo hard to lose now. I ended up having to order new workout leggings as I had to keep pulling mine up that I have now which was super annoying! They are supposed to arrive today. Hopefully they fit! I am also very sore today after working out for the first time in awhile. Eh no pain no gain right? Feels good to get back to a routine though! Accountability was pretty decent yesterday though I switched out my Chicken and cauliflower rice for dinner with a protein shake. Don't think I'll be doing that today though since I was still hungry after.
QOTD: My vote is yes. It's a piece of meat between bread. Anything between something is a sandwich in my book. Lol
B: coffee & protein shake
L: tuna & a laughing cow cheese wedge & a pickle
D: baked chicken & cauliflower rice
S: L&F Greek yogurt or protein shake
Surgery: RNY on 1/23/19
I hope you can get more comfortable and get some sleep. The first few days after a surgery are always difficult.
My house is clean, so beach today as it will be 90. Tonight we are going for dinner at old friends of Mike who he reconnected with recently and I really enjoy. Tomorrow we drive to Mikes to spend half of the 5 weeks I remain in Florida.
QOTD: I guess technically a hotdog in a bun could be considered a sandwich. On a menu, there often seems to be two categories: sandwiches and burgers/dogs. But sometimes they are in the same category...
TSS: 5 years
B: Coffee!!! Scrambled eggs and cottage cheese
L: leftover chicken and peas
D: some type of Italian
S: nut thins and cottage cheese

Good morning everyone. I came here this morning to check on Melody. I know here surgery was yesterday. She was on my mind all day yesterday. Praying you are pain free soon, Melody.
My husband is out of town this week. I decided to re-do my bedroom. I want it to be light and bright, boho and farmhouse. I painted and organized for 13 hours yesterday. I also painted my rod iron bed and end tables and my old beat up wooden floor that is beyond repair. I love it!! I pulled everything out of my bedroom and closets. I organized and went through lots of paperwork. I found a letter that my husband had written me in an envelope when he deployed to Afghanistan, in case he didn't come home. Ugh! That got me in the feelers. My house is currently trashed, everything is everywhere in the dining room. I am hoping to get it all put back together today. But first coffee and some time in front of the fire.
QOTD-Yes, a sandwich its bread and meat.
Food plan for the day-
Eggwich
Tuna with cucumbers, tomatoes, onion and siracha
Taco salad - ( shredded chicken over lettuce with pico and hot sauce on top)
Lots of water and hot tea. It's going to be 70 today. Looking forward to a productive day with a bubble bath at the end and hopes of sleeping in my bed tonight. Have a great day everyone.
If your available I need a few rooms redone. I'd love to see photos of your work. Sounds like you got a lot accomplished. Congratulations. So nice to find that letter knowing DH is safe and sound and to remember how much he truly loves you. Awe.

Thank you so much, you are so sweet and I appreciate it!

I had a weird reaction to a medicine last May and it caused hallucinations. My bedroom at the time had light blue walls and gray ceiling. The bedspread was blues and brown, with matching valances and tan mini blinds.
In the hallucination (which was scary, but strangely beautiful) the bedroom was a bright peach color and the room was full of light and beautiful flower arrangements. The doctor who prescribed the medicine for kidney stones said he would not prescribe that to me again. It is called Tamsulosin and having the side effect of hallucinations is extremely rare.
This summer, I painted and completely redecorated so that the room is now a lot like the hallucination. I changed the dark furniture to bright white. Had the walls painted a bright peach, the ceiling white and added new bedspread and window treatment. That bedroom was boring to me before, but I did not know what I wanted to make it look like.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Mornin' All!
DH went into the office today (he goes in once a week these days - the staff is rotating so there are never too many people there at once) - so it'll be a very quiet day. I have nothing scheduled, but there are several things I need to follow up on -- plus readings and movie-watching that I need to do for class tomorrow. I also need to find one more dish to make for Easter dinner - some kind of vegetable side dish. My brother-in-law won't be joining us, so that opened possibilities up quite a *****e's a picky eater and rarely strays from meat and potatoes. So I'm planning on all Middle Eastern & Mediterranean dishes - YAY!!). I'm really glad my husband is usually open to trying anything. He doesn't necessarily seek out new foods left to his own devices - but with a little coaxing, he's almost always willing to least try something new, and he usually ends up liking it (although at this point, he's tried pretty much everything, since I've been at it for a long time with him - Middle Eastern/Mediterranean is nothing new for him, for example...). Living with an extremely picky eater would drive me out of my mind!
QOTD: I never thought of a hotdog as a sandwich, but I suppose it would qualify
B: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with blueberry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: the last of the "sweet kale" salad kit with a Costco chicken skewer
AS: the usual L&F yogurt with either 1/2 a protein muffin or a light English muffin with cream cheese
D: teriyaki salmon filet, small sweet potato with butter and fake brown sugar
ex: I did weights yesterday (and cardio, too), so some kind of cardio. I want to do something besides a walking video today, but it's too cold to do anything outside. I'll have to give this some thought...
have a great day, everyone - and I hope you start feeling better soon, Melody -- this has been quite the ordeal!
