What's on your (photo) Friday menu?

Sorry you have had such a rough week.

I've been on here for four years and it does tend to ebb and flow - old people leave, new ones come on. And just so you know, I'm not going anywhere...

I've noticed that traffic on OH in general has taken a nosedive the last year or so - not just this thread. In fact, this is one of the only active threads there is on OH right now (and it's by far the most active of the "active" threads). VSG and DS menu threads died quite awhile ago, and there isn't much posted on either the VSG or DS forums in general. I think a lot of people join Facebook groups these days (that is, bariatric ones) instead of forums like these. Unfortunately.

This is the only social Media I do. So unless I have phone number or email I'm SOL staying in touch with people.

Chrissy, I know. I've been wondering about Sheila! This group is so good for me to just check in with myself each day and make a plan. I like knowing I'm accountable. And my surgeon just loves that I participate in this thread.

We have the youngest grandgirl this weekend. Hoping for no more rain. Our new roof has now been put off until next week. Ugh. We are planning a bike ride, swimming (even in the rain I guess, the pool is heated and I'll stand under one of the umbrellas) and s'mores. Checking out of the campground Sunday, so I'll putter around some making sure everything is back in it's place and secure until the next time.

QoTD: I am woman. I literally sing this song out loud, a lot! Like if someone says something about me moving boxes at work, I burst into song. If someone comments about my stressful job, I burst into this song. LOL.

menu: need to be extra good today and this weekend. Last night's special beginning of the birthday month was out of this world. 4 courses with matched wines. I sipped at the wines and kept that to a real low level, but they served carpaccio (sort of so so) 6 way cauliflower risotto (great flavors, but a little bit like oatmeal mouth feel with gravy on it. Weird but so good!) Beef cheeks with a yellow beet cream sauce -- this is where I lost control, and a chocolate gorgonzola torte. I only had one bite of the torte, because I gorged myself on beef cheeks and yellow beet sauce.

B: diced chicken breast and 1/4 cottage cheese with EBTB seasoning

L: chicken breast and Whisps

D: I'm thinking mac and cheese for the grand kid and hubs, turkey cheese roll up for me.
