Let us all agree with this!

Good morning everyone. Sigh...gonna be a long day!

We had so many confirmed tornados yesterday. Nobody was hurt(that I know of yet) but it did a lot of damage to one of our state parks. Lots of people were camping and the campers were destroyed. If indeed no one was seriously hurt we were damn lucky. Two of our stations were on for 6+ hours covering it. The other was playing March madness BS. They did break in but they seemed more concerned with basketball...

I?m pretty sure I had another bleed(or continued bleeding) in my right eye yesterday. I?m so overwhelmed by everything. Broke down last night and had a big ugly cry. I?m just really tired. I?ve also been extremely irritable. Just a pleasure to be around! LOL. I can?t chainmaille right now due to the globs in my eye. So I have no good outlet for my feelings. Just frustrated!

We have the kids Monday and Tuesday AND it?s spring break so it?s an all day with all the kids. Woooo....hooo... I just hope they let up on the fighting! We have to run to the grocery store to get a few things for prep.

QOTD: What Personality Trait Has Gotten You In The Most Trouble?

For me currently it's being an open book. When I was a kid it was standing up for myself with kids. I took about as much as I could take and retaliated. Lots of boys got hurt when they made fun of me. I even got into a few fights with other girls. Kids can really suck. By the 6th grade the bullying stopped to my face and I was feared. Not a great feeling either but better than what they did to me.

B: low carb GF donut, chicken breakfast sausage

L: cooked broccoli slaw, ham and chao cheese

D: no idea!

S: 2 cups popcorn, corn tortilla heated on the comel and maybe a tbs of peanut butter.

Mornin'!

we biked for 2.5 hours yesterday; feeling it this morning. We also got Chinese take-out last night and I overdid it - hoping that long bike ride took care of at least some of that; regardless, I'll be really watching it today. I've been on a roll lately and don't want to blow it.

we should probably get out and do something today since it's supposed to snow tomorrow, but other than the grocery store (??). Not much going on...

QOTD: the only thing I can think of is that I'm pretty introverted, and if I'm with another introvert, conversation can be a real struggle. I generally do OK if I'm with an extravert, though (so I'm really more "mildly" introverted). Being introverted hasn't gotten me in trouble, actually - but it's a shortcoming I feel has hurt me at times.

B: plain Greek yogurt with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: Costco chicken skewer with cole slaw (??) (I made the cole slaw with 1/2 plain Greek yogurt and 1/2 reduced fat mayo)

AS: protein muffin, maybe

D: salmon/tuna patty and cole slaw

ex: I might just take a rest day. I did weights yesterday, so I need to skip a day - and I'm pretty achy from all the cardio yesterday..

have a great day, everyone!

Good Morning!

Sometimes having a good cry is the best thing you can do! I hope things look up for you soon Melody!

QOTD: I say what's on my mind. You give me attitude, and I give it right back. Sometimes it gets me into trouble - other times it earns me respect. I'm never disrespectful - but I don't let people walk all over me.

B:fairlife latte

S: 120g skyr, 15g pb, 40g blueberries

L: 20g spinach, 2oz chicken, 15g light feta, balsamic dressing

S: protein bar

D: 2oz honey garlic chicken, veggies

S: TBD

Good morning!

We are off to attempt our longest bike ride yet. Pray for me. Yesterday I did some retail therapy. Need to stay out of the stores! Things are opening up here this week. Hopefully we can all behave and keep driving those numbers down.
QOTD: my type A personality. Apparently I assume everyone else should be as focused and I demand too much. I work on it, but really, I feel like if I can work this hard to make the company successful and provide all these benefits and pay, you should be helping me if you benefit from it. Not my nicest trait.

menu

B. Made an egg and bacon frittata

l. TBD. On the bikes. If I'm not dead, maybe I'll have earned something extra fun.
D: either roast chicken or meatloaf. Got the ingredients for both. We'll see how I'm feeling at the end of the day. Or, there is a food truck coming to the RV park this evening...

Peace Everyone!

They had corned beef brisket at the grocery store on clearance to move them. Soooo that's what's for dinner.

Also kind of tickled, one of my favorite designs from a few years ago is having a revival of sorts. I like doing things for the chainmaille community when I can so there is a free tutorial for the basic weave and a map of sorts for the sizes on this. It requires a crazy amount of different sizes but it's worth it..I think. I need to make one for myself!

Happy Sunday!

QOTD - My codependency. It's gotten me into "trouble" and I at 46 years old am JUST now becoming self aware and learning how to work through it. Better now, than never.

Breakfast - fasting so hot black coffee and water.

Lunch - Wanna know if you can still have restriction at 12 years out? I can tell you! Yes, yes you can! I had a vegan hot dog, split in two on two corn tortillas with vegan cheese (not out of the norm for me) and it would not stay. I ended up bringing it all back up, had the foamies and everything. Good times. Thankfully I have some honey/ginger tincture (called the fix) and some hot tea, and feel better.

Snack - toast with avocado butter and peanut butter

Snack - apple and pepitas

Dinner - I'm not cooking. Pizza with veggies works for me!

I hope you are all doing well, and I hate daylight savings time. That is all.

My RNY was March 25, 2009. I still have restriction and get foamies, too. Last endoscopy showed my pouch to be 2-3 ounces in size.

Best wishes on this journey.

I was in my 60's before I knew what being co-dependent meant. I was raised to be responsible for others and thought that was what a good woman did.

Life is so much freer for me since I read Codependent No More and learned how to deal with those tendencies.

I've read that one, and so many more. In learning about what it means to be child of an alcoholic, dealing with childhood trauma, then being married to an alcoholic (now in recovery), dealing with my own sobriety and so much more...codependency and my understanding of it has taken on a life in and of itself. Once you understand, acknowledge and start working your way backwards and out of it, it's amazing what can come out of the work! It's still hard for me to say no, but when I do, it's like it's another little link out of the chain being broken.
