What's on your (photo) Friday menu?
Mornin'!
I'm feeling stuffed this morning, but I'm not sure why. Oh well. Maybe it'll keep me from eating too much today! I have Mah Jongg at 10:00 and my film discussion group at 12:30. We watched "Loving" this time (2016 - it's the story of the couple in the Loving vs Virginia case - it was a good film and I'm still so surprised that it was 1967 before people from different races were able to marry in 15 states. I knew that before, but it became much more "real" after watching this film. It's just...absurd...
QOTD: I have no idea! I really like architecture - both residential and commercial - but that's easier studied by walking around outside with a knowledgeable docent, looking at the buildings "in the flesh". I'll have to give this some thought and come back.
B: 1/2 C protein oatmeal topped with pumpkin yogurt, coffee with half & half
MS: strawberry protein shake (with a few frozen strawberries and some fresh spinach tossed in - as well as ice)
L: turkey chili
AS: L&F yogurt with a light English muffin (with light cream cheese).
D: salmon and cole slaw
ex: weights and maybe some cardio
have a great day, everyone!
Good morning! Happy Friday. Yesterday was much busier at work, so it flew by, and also kept my hands and mind off snacking. But then all the plans changed. We went to the marina for dinner, so I didn't eat as well as planned. Our grand daughters got themselves in big trouble and grounded this weekend, so no kids for us. I totally support the parents decision to make the punishment hurt for them, but am bummed that we don't get them. What was going to be a crazy weekend will now be a quiet one. And the RV is jammed packed with foods just for them. My husband will eat through a bunch of it, and none of it calls my name, so I am safe from that. But still. So bummed. We are camped at part of the Bayshore Bikeway and had planned on taking the girls on a few miles of it. Now that it's just us, we may go from the campground to Coronado and back. That's about 14 miles round trip. I think I can make it. Especially since I can use E boost when I get tired. Maybe lun*****oronado as a rest period and then ride back. We'll see. I need cycling pants. It's on my upcoming birthday wish list. More padding where there used to be tons!
QoTD Is an excellent one! I think I'll go with a current topic of much conversation in my life right now. I'd fund a museum that laid out clearly the impact of access and privilege and education to support financial class in life and intergenerational wealth. It really does matter what happened in your ancestor's life.
A couple photos from our week. This is what San Diego is known for! You can go from beach to snow to desert in a single day. These are the San Jacinto Mountains in Palm Springs, dinner out there and then our campsite view for the week. The Chula Vista Bay harbor.
B: sawdust chicken, 1/4 cottage cheese, EBTB seasoning
L: fishy noodles, chicken, roasted tomatoes/broccolini, feta, parm
D: The Waffle food truck is at the campground tonight. The grandkids are going to be sad to miss out on that! But my husband still wants it, and it's all sweet. So he'll have that, and I'll do beef jerky and Whisps. And a glass of red wine.
Peace Everyone!

Good Morning Melody and Menuers,
Just so glad it Friday!! Plans for the weekend is exercise class tomorrow morning, I am going to start spring cleaning. I hope to get some windows done and dust and clean my curio cabinet that has all my snow babies in. I hope to tackle this window cleaning one weekend at a time so not to make it a big overwhelming project. I do them every year in the spring if they need it or not. LOL DH does not see the point of window cleaning until we actually start the task. I remember growing up and my mom doing it so I just follow suit. It does smell so nice and fresh when they are done.
QOTD: Probably something to do with purses and purse designs through the years since I have a large collection of antique purses.
Accountability: Terrible. I munched through an apple that I had butter cinnamon and swerve on that I cooked in the micro and if that was not enough I grabbed the peanut butter Jar and a fork and that lasted about 45min. I am so upset with myself but plan to be back on track today.

I hire a company come in the spring and clean the windows. I have 14 windows and they charge me $120. They send two guys and are done in about two hours. They take down the blinds and curtains, clean windows inside and out and put everything back in place. It would take me at least two days to do that myself and I don't feel safe climbing ladders any more.
