What's on your Wednesday menu?

Good Wednesday morning everyone.

well yesterday was a ****ty day. My right eye has another bleed in it. I can't get into the specialist until next Tuesday. I can't see much out of it...it's like a veil is over it with a bunch of globs. It was a gut punch to say the least. Any positive thoughts you can send my way over this would be appreciated.

My mood is crap...but i'm trying to keep my head above water. My appointment went well yesterday but the bleed started half way through. So I was a little distracted. It was nice to talk with someone like that though.

QOTD: What's the closest thing to real magic?

I'd have to say science. I know it's real and not magic but I love science and think it's magical and fascinating!

B: banana and silk protein milk...coffee

L: JUST egg, chicken sausage and a piece of GF toast

D: maybe the split pea soup I meant to have yesterday

S: popcorn, grapes and ???

Good morning all! I'm so sorry you are having to deal with all these issues with your eye Melody. Sending positive thoughts your way.

This week has gotten off to a very busy and overwhelming start for me with work. It's been quite stressful actually and the weekend can't come soon enough.

Accountability could have been better yesterday and I'm up a couple pounds this morning, but it's also that time of month.

QOTD: hmmm....I'm not really sure. Never really thought about it.

B: coffee & a protein shake

L: 2 oz turkey breast & a laughing cow cheese wedge

D: 4 oz salmon & veggies

Good morning everybody!

Sending positive thoughts your way Melody. Good to see you Hilary.

I was supposed to go fishing today, but it's starting to pour. I kind of cleared my schedule, so not sure what I will do instead.

In any case, there will be a gym trip and off to my in-laws to watch Seal Team tonight. Sunday I am headed back to Chicago for a few weeks.

Mornin' All!

I'm in a better mood this morning now that the tax issue is behind me and I got some stuff done for the Zoom program I'm hosting on Saturday. I also sent an email to a committee I chair with the agenda to next Monday's meeting and mentioned that I plan to step down as chair after the season is over (in June). Big relief. Hopefully they can find a new chair. I feel guilty in a way, but chairing that committee was sparking no joy for me.

I have to take my MIL to get her second COVID vaccine later this morning, but other than that, not much going on. It seems there were a couple of Zoom programs I was interested in this evening (although to be honest, I'm kind of feeling Zoomed out these days). I also need to finish watching a movie for my film discussion group and do some reading for classes.

QOTD: enjoying nature (birdsong, lakes, grass and trees) while on my bike. It's very calming.

B: plain Greek yogurt with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: turkey chili

AS: protein pumpkin muffin

D: Costco chicken skewer with garlic/yogurt dip, small sweet potato, and if I have room, a small Caesar salad (just the romaine with light Caesar vinaigrette)

ex: upper body weights, some kind of cardio

have a great day, everyone!

Morning.

This has not been an easy week. A good friend, just 45, passed away on Monday. Yesterday one of our employees just walked out yesterday. SO pissed. We have bent and accommodated her work schedule in ways we never have before because she's got kids at home, and Covid, and it's all just a lot. She got 2 weeks pay as a holiday bonus. She's never to work on time and we let her slide. Just walked out. No notice. And I am pissed. We are already short staffed and training 2 new people. So, yeah. The rest of the week is going to be miserable -- and we have to find a new employee. And I do not care what you hear on the news...people do NOT want to go to work. We got three resumes from our last posting. This is a job that pays well, offers fully paid medical after 90 days, profit shares, 401K matching and bonuses. We put that in our posting. Sorry. I'm going to try to get my head back on straight and make it a decent day.

QoTD: I agree. Absolutely Love. With a little extra magic if it's from a child.

Menu:

B: hb egg, 1/4 C cottage cheese

L: bacon wrapped shrimp (3), 1/4 c refried beans. Didn't eat this yesterday and must today

D: ground beef, a little bbq sauce and cheddar cheese.

S: bottle of wine. KIDDING!!!

Peace Everyone!
