Good morning! I am definitely at the back of the pack this morning. But I've had a real nice, peaceful morning and gotten a few things accomplished.

Yesterday we got in 8 miles on the bikes. Beautiful San Diego day. Had lunch bayside and I made good picks. Last night we gathered with some neighbors outside on their deck area. I ate a few things I haven't had since before surgery. 4 triscuits. 6 Fritos with cream cheese chili dip. But I took my own coffee and skipped the wine and I stayed away from the sweets. Still needed an actual dinner when we got home as nibbling didn't quite do it for me, so I ate the last 1/3 cup of the chili and cream cheese. Today, my day is blocked out much better.

QoT

DoTD: Don't think this will earn me any cool kid points, but Johnny Cash. I've always loved him and my Dad took me to see him in concert. 3rd row center. I'm not sure which part of that memory I love more. Johnny or the time with my Dad.

Menu: I've got this blocked out, and breakfast done and dinner prepped. So I am feeling very good about my plan today.

B: 1 oz sugar free jerky, 1/4 c parm crisp mix. Loving that this has spiced nuts in it. Seems to fill me for a longer period.

L: splitting chicken fajitas with my friend. No tortillas, a couple spoons of refried beans

D: a NYT recipe. Sheet pan sausage meatballs with roasted tomatoes and broccolini and finished with parm. Looks amazing sitting in my fridge right now waiting to be tossed in the oven tonight. Per the recipe suggestion, I've got crusty bread for the hubs to turn it into a sandwich. I can have up to 6 meatballs with the veggies and top off the meal at 266 calories and 28 grams of protein. Thank you MFP for converting my recipe for me!

Peace everyone!

Holy crap! That must've been awesome to see him! I've only been to one concert in my entire life! That's such a neat memory with your dad!

Johnny cash is so cool kid. I never got to see him. We had tickets to see a Cash tribute band at the Casino but was canceled due to COVID. Hoping they reschedule.

Good afternoon all!

QOTD: I will go with the first concert I saw in person which was Pink Floyd's off the wall. Very cool. and yes I am old LOL

Food:

cottage cheese, half a bagel

protein smoothie, with fruit and spinach

kale salad with turkey and lite Swiss

everything but the bagel crusted salmon, roasted veggies, maybe sweet potato.

S: Protein, rice cakes, tbd

ex: did a one hour zoom with a trainer. I signed up for four sessions with her as sort of a trial, do not think I am continuing. I like her but I feel like she spends too much time talking so we're not doing as much exercise as I like as well as I do nothing long-term it's financially feasible. I think working with somebody where they just give me the workouts on paper and I do them myself, and still have accountability probably works better for me
