Good Morning Melody and Menuers,

I am saddened by seeing participation dwindling in this group. I hope we can keep this going. I have not seen Stacy or Julia S. Hmmm hope some old posters come back also would love to see some newbies jump in I enjoy seeing peoples journeys unfold here. Ok I guess I'll have to pray on it and see what happens. Madison were looking for you hope all is well.

Mel that focaccia looks good what did you use for the flour?

QOTD: I love (but quit eating) Fried mozzarella sticks dipped in Mayonaise, French fries salted with melted butter poured over them, I also like mayonnaise on my cooked eggs not dippy eggs.

Accountability: There was too much cheese, Cauliflower crackers and Peanut butter protein mix. I been mixing the real peanut butter with PB2, Vanilla whey protein powder, and super skim milk. Hoping to cut some calories and add some protein instead of just digging in the peanut butter jar.

TSS: 3 years 2 Months and 12 days 133.2 (Lowest 129.4)

B: Coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato creamer

MS: Premier Strawberry protein and berries

CB: Coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato creamer

L: Crack chicken and snack selects.

D: Cheesy onion chicken bake

Exercise: 50 minute tread mill (DONE)

Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium.

Everybody have a great week.

Brightest Blessing

Chrissy

Good morning all. It's nice to be back. Work has been kicking my behind, but I have a few minutes between projects. I have a continuing education seminar (we have to accrue 25+ hours, and my firm is hosting zoom seminars every other week) and I have a Dr. appt at 4. I have premature osteopenia (isn't it amazing what we'll all share here?) so I have bone scans every 18 months. I get to see if it's worse or stable today. Fingers crossed!

QOTD: Although higher in carbs, I'll take a brown rice cake, put peanut (or another nut) butter, cottage cheese and blueberries on it. So good.

My plan (upon review . . . not much of a plan):

B: fairlife (fake) latte (my Nespresso frother died so I'm just heating up my milk in the microwave until the replacement comes)

L: no idea since the continuing education seminar is at lunch, then I need to get ready for my appt.

D: Turkey meatloaf (I think)

S: probably an Iced Coffee on the way home from the Dr (or on the way there if I get myself together early enough)

E: None, it's a rest day. Although since I now have a full gym in my garage, I may workout with my brother if he comes over and allows me to join in. I haven't done weights in FOREVER!

QOTD- When I ate eggs I would have them scrambled with ketchup.

I've been MIA lately, going through struggles with work. I actually got fired on Friday and started a new job on Monday. I'm working for the same contracting company but doing work totally remotely and working for Washington instead of Oregon. I'm actually happy I don't have all of the responsibilities I did before and it is much less stressful. I'm learning WA fairly quickly, still need some more information on some of the jobs. But the person I work for said that I was a gift from my previous boss and he's very happy to have me. So at least I'm wanted here.

I'm trying not to take it personally, but sometimes it's hard not to. I've worked there for 5 years, and I've done a good job. My boss wanted me to bring all of my work into the office to review it. I sent him a spreadsheet that had all of my projects on it, but he wanted me to come into the office. I think he just wanted to humiliate me and fire me in person. Almost all of the people in the office don't wear masks and don't social distance, so I'm not really interested in going back into the office. So Friday I picked up my computer and personal stuff from my office. It was hard, I'll miss some of the people, but my boss was on a tear. He fired our admin person on Thursday because she didn't want to come into the office, her husband has had a stroke and she is his caregiver-but neither of them or me are old enough to get a Covid vaccine.

We had a snow and ice storm last week, my BFF lost her power for almost a week. The barn had no power either so no water, and my Mom lost power for 3 days. I was lucky I only lost power for about an hour. Not a fan of snow or ice, I'm a white knuckle driver and won't drive in snow if I don't absolutely have to.

My weight has been pretty stable, within a couple of pounds. So I'm happy with that. I need to eat more protein, but it just doesn't appeal to me right now. So I've been drinking some protein waters, but honestly they are disgusting. They are sweetened with stevia but just don't taste right, but 90 calories and 20g protein, so I force them down. I've been on a popcorn binge lately, not sure why.

Have a great day everyone! I'll try to post more often, but sometimes I feel like all I can say is negative. I'll try to get myself out of this funk.

Sounds like you're in a better place with the new job so don't take what happened at the old job personally. Your a better person because you worked there and your a happier person now that you don't. Looks like it all is working out for the good.

I hope this becomes a forced change that turns out to be incredibly positive! It already sounds like you have a better boss and the pressure to some in and be around the massless is gone for good! Good luck!

I'm sure it's very humiliating to be let go like that, but I think this may turn out to be a blessing in disguise. You weren't very happy working there - and it sounds like this new gig is a much better fit.
