Good morning! I'm still struggling to get my days right with the new shortened work week. But I'm glad it's Wednesday, not Tuesday like I thought for minute. After a not so exciting day yesterday, I was able to get "my face done"...brows, etc. Yay! I was about to have to start shaving or braiding. Then we put in 2 hours of unpacking bags from the termite tenting. I cleaned out more stuff, and am reorganizing as I go, so I'm calling that my silver lining. 4 bags to go tonight, and it's a must do as my vitamins are in there and I'm on my last pre-packed set today.
QoTD: I'm teaching myself to crochet (very slow learner over here), working hard on understanding the nuances of my Cricut, and most importantly, I am learning every day to hand over control on work things to other people so that they can build their skill sets and be ready when I retire. That's been a hard thing to do -- my inner control freak is raging these days.
Menu:
B: 1 hb egg, 1/4 C cottage cheese, a few parm crisps crumbled on top. It's amazing what a change up in texture can do to reclaim interest in something.
L: 3-4 oz chicken tender, 1/4 refried beans, 1 tbsp shredded cheddar, 1 tbsp spicy ranch
D: Ordering Chinese, so either Mongolian beef or Broccoli and beef
S: jerky/parm crisps if needed. 1 square chocolate
Peace Everyone!

I retired at 62. Went back to work at 64. Retired again at 67 and went back to work again at 69. I enjoy the challenge of learning new things and getting paid for it. I do taxes now and just work from December until the end of April, then have the rest of the year for fun.
In Northeast Ohio, there is not a lot you can do from December until April. As long as I stay here, I will probably continue to work at least part time.
Teaching others to do the work you do is how you set yourself free. After I left my job, they hired two people to replace me and I trained them both. But a few months later, I was contacted and asked to come back for a while. I declined because I knew "a while" would turn into the rest of my life.

G'morning all!
I've been sporadic in posting. Today is DS's bday, he is turning 19. We wanted to drive down for his bday and celebrate it with him but he told us he has too much going on and doesn't have time for us. Sigh! Then he won't get the big present we got for him - a middle console for his van. I ordered him a cookie cake (his favorite) from a bakery near his dorm that should be delivered today.
QOTD: My new skill is patience! Enough said.
My meals yesterday
- B: protein coffee
- L: scrambled eggs
- S: new product I found - protein puffs
- D: meat loaf
- E: 4.4 miles jog
Happy hump day!
PS. Jen, hump day is not complete without your camel pics!

The newest thing I have learned is to use a pop of color when decorating a room. I have a bedroom with a pale peach bedspread and curtains. I added shears in bright coral and the room looks so much brighter and appealing.
In another bedroom, i have white lace sheers and am going to replace them with mint green.
I have always loved color but stuck to lots of "safe" neutrals and beiges. It is fun to break out of that mold.
