What's on your (Tues) Menu?
Good morning! Hoping for a busy day here at work. It was totally dead yesterday, so I have no usual Tuesday morning catch up to do. I got in 3 mile bayside walk yesterday, and other than that, just chilled.
These last few weeks, I am just SO hungry all the time. I wake up hungry and think about food all day long. I'm 16 months out and I've been reading that it's a common-ish time for hunger to resume. I'm making really great picks all day, but I hate fighting the feeling of needing more, more, more!
QoTD: I've been decaffeinated for probably 20 years. But when I got such bad gastritis in the summer of 2019, my doc's took even that away from me. They suggested Cafix. Fake coffee. No caffeine at all. It's chicory, whey and beet root. It makes sort of a coffee. Looks like coffee at least. But it gives me something warm to have in the mornings and late at night, and my husband found a great zero calorie chocolate syrup that really helps.

My parents used an old fashioned percolator to make coffee every morning. It was like a strong, thick syrup and I hated it. They had tea every afternoon and I did not care for tea either.
When I was older I realized coffee was nothing like what I grew up with and drank it for a few years. When I was pregnant in 1971, the smell of it gave me morning sickness. I quit drinking it then and never went back to it. Tea also bothered my stomach and i quit that too.
I lived on Coke for years, then Diet Coke, Coke Zero. I gave that up about five or six years ago and now have no caffeine of any kind.
I had black and white TV long before remotes. The first TV I bought with a remote had a 17 inch screen and cost $1000. That was in 1983.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Even from 10 years ago we have a 43 inch TV. That's tiny now. They don't even sell them in the wall TV section, they are off on the side.
it would cost us $500 to get a bigger TV, but $5,000 to hire a carpenter to redo the family room bookshelves where we have the TV.
