Melody,
I have been thinking of MadisonRose too and hope she is well.

So glad this weekend is over! It was a long weekend here and while I was supposed to be on call I ended up with a fever on Friday (24hrs post covid 2nd dose) and was not allowed to work..
QOTD: I maintained the caffeine free life up until recently.. and now I have 1-2 cups of coffee a day. For me it's the routine. I like to steal away 15-20 minutes in the morning, alone with some coffee and a book. On the weekends I have my second cup with my bf when he wakes up.
B: fairlife latte
S: skyr yogurt, pb and berries
L: shredded chicken, lettuce wraps & cheese
S: hard boiled egg
D: chicken and veggies
S: maybe a protein shake

Learning my new normal, one day at a time.
Good morning, everyone!
Hilary, I hope that you are feeling better and Madison Rose also.
Marilyn is back from Colorado tonight, so I have to head back up to Tampa to pick her up. I am glad that they got out and skied yesterday. My son texted me that I should go next time, but I think my skiing years are over.
QOTD: I remember after surgery counting the days until I could have a coffee. But I never went back to caffeinated and lately I can go days on end without drinking one. I think that I have only had 1 or 2 cups in the 9 days I've been in Florida.
breakfast: protein bar
lunch: bratwurst
dinner: stuffed peppers
have a great day all!

She is. If she gets me one while she is out, I drink it, but if I'm alone I tend to forget/not make the effort.

Mornin' All!
classes this morning, so I'll be busy. I'm behind on reading, so there's my afternoon...but that's fine. It's still going to be cold the next couple of days, but in the teens rather single digits (that is, single digits above AND below) - so an improvement, but it's not like I could be out doing other things.
I bought an air fryer yesterday and had some fun with that - and will make some other things in it today. A FB friend called hers her "easy bake oven" - I can see that! I'm also excited that the powdered egg yolks I ordered will arrive tomorrow. More playing. I ordered them because DH LOVES eggnog-flavored yogurt, which is only available (when you can find it at all), during the holidays. I tried making it with regular egg yolks, but the texture wasn't right - partially due to the extra liquid and partially due to the fact that adding the yolks brought the temp down too quickly (as in super quickly), which I think affected the final result, too. I think using the powdered ones may solve that problem. I'm sure commercial companies use powdered eggs for theirs...
QOTD: I've had 3-4 cups of coffee in the morning for years (well, the equivalent - it's actually two big mugs full), and that hasn't changed. I think I like coffee more than I used to, though (I've always liked it - but now I REALLY like it). Like Melody, it sometimes gives me heartburn as well, so I've had to shop around for less acidic brands.
B: well, the plan I made last night was protein chocolate mousse (made with cottage cheese), but that's sounding way too rich right now. I think I'll just have the usual - plain Greek yogurt with 1/4 C fruit compote. Plus coffee with half & half.
MS: protein shake
L: Aldi's burrito (made in the air fryer)
AS: I may have that chocolate mousse this afternoon. Calories aren't horrible, and it has 30 grams of protein in a cup. And I'll throw some raspberries on top, of course..
D: probably ham and a small sweet potato
have a great day, everyone!!
Good Morning! Thanks for starting us off and so sorry you're dealing with insurance issues on top of not feeling well. I hope all of it gets worked out and you feel better soon.
