What's on you photo Friday menu?
I was the oldest and raised by a very strict mother. She watched like a hawk to make sure I did not hang out with people who were a bad influence, drink, smoke, stay out too late, or miss a day of school.
But by the time my younger brothers and sisters were teens, my mother was 100% laid back. She would buy them fancy roach clips for Christmas and tell them to use pot at home in their room so they would not get arrested.
I tell them we had two totally different mothers.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good morning, everybody!
Monday morning, I won't be posting because I will be heading South. Yay!
OK, are we just going to pretend that Sunday isn't the Super Bowl? I am rooting for Tampa Bay since I am from Boston and have rooted for Tom Brady and Gronk throughout their careers. I didn't get into any pools or Super Bowl Squares this year.
All the commercials that I have seen so far have been for the Puppy Bowl. I'm not sure what that involves (other than puppies), but its hosted by Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart and they are funny together.
Marilyn bought this elaborate selection of meats, cheeses, almonds, etc. for Zoom Happy Hour but then her friends asked her to substitute in a tennis match at the same time, so I'm on my own.
QOTD: similar situation to Hilary.

Good Morning Melody and Menuers,
Got so busy trying to get my mom scheduled for her vaccine I never got back to read the post. And with all my efforts I still do not have her scheduled. I am guessing this is a distribution problem and not a logistics problem. I think they have all these places set up and ready to go but for some reason our area is just not getting the vaccines we need. Yesterday 750 doses became available and your were supposed to call 211 for the red cross to set up appointments. I heard the whole phone system crashed within the first 5 minutes. I called 108 times and never got through.
Ok I know this is a weight loss community so no one throw rocks. I did get my first box order of Girl Scout cookies delivered yesterday. I had been seeing the new flavor Toast-Yay and they were like little French toast. I really wanted them for some reason and in my region they were not available so I went on line and ordered from a troop in Philadelphia that had the new flavor and their Smores ones are different than what they market around here. They are chocolate covered the ones around here are just like a square Oreo. Anyway. I brought them to work and put a couple in sandwich bags to divide them up, I wore gloves to and set them out for everyone to try. Then tragedy struck. When I opened the second package one was broke into 4 pieces. Yes yes I ate all 70 calories and 20G of sugar. At least it is now out of the way. They taste just like Cinnamon toast crunch cereal. I hope someone loves them and eats them all.
QOTD: Not at all my parents were more like friends than parents. I had a great growing up. Are house was the go to house it was always filled with people there was always guest and plenty of food and drink to enjoy. I think my brother friend lived with us for about 6 months before my parents even knew he moved in.
Accountability: Beside my cookie adventure this morning yesterday was very good and I added that Barre class that I really enjoyed but I do not thin the gym has that on a regular rotation.

This morning I finally got appointments for Mike and I on Wednesday in his county. I checked in with friends in my county and they still weren't able to get them. They don't seem to be properly distributed based on ages of the population down here in Florida.

Good morning. It's a blustery day in the PNW. I'm thanful it's rain and not snow. My son texted me this morning. He is underway right now and out at sea. It's amazing how a simple text of " Good morning, Mamma. I am just checking in to let you know that I am good. Love and miss you and Dad. I'll call this weekend."
I had a very productive day yesterday and food was on track. I love the feeling of a clean house and everything organized. I'm going to clean out some more cupboards today and go to the dump to take my recycles.
QOTD- I don't know what you would classify my parents as, other than abusive. They both had drug issues. My sister and I lived in foster care our teens years. I don't have a relationship with my mother at all. She is still an active addict. My relationship with my father is kind of nonexistent . My parents divorced and my Dad is drug free now. He is remarried. His wife doesn't like it when I call, she has some serious control issues. Occasionally, my Dad will call me when he is out and about. It is hurtful to me that I am still not a priority to him, but it is what it is. I have many other wonderful people in my life that love me.
Food for today-
2 eggs, 1/2 c. cottage cheese
2 chicken skewers with jalapeno ranch yogurt dressing, sliced tomatoes
I am making a sesame chicken stir fry with shirataki noodles. ( I just tried these for the first time not long ago. They are a game changer for me)
My new hand towel, I felt it was covid appropriate.
The flowers I rewarded myself with for grocery shopping.
I am so sorry you had such a tough childhood. And glad that you have wonderful loving people now.
