Merning, happy friday!

QOTD - Not really. I grew up with a lot of chaos, and they were only strict if it was convenient.

Breakfast - fasting so hot black coffee and water

Lunch - soyrizo, kale and papas with corn tortillas

Snack - fruit smoothie

Snack - apple with peanut butter

Dinner - NO clue, but I don't think I'm cooking!

Drive by post, training all day today! I hope everyone has a great day, and a very happy weekend!

Good morning! Ready to blow through this day and start the weekend. We've go no real plans, other than prepping for termite tenting. That means ALL the food, medicines, spices, vitamins, etc have to be put in special bags. I've been meal planning around this to make it as easy as possible, and the inside of the fridge is starting to look like a ghost town. We are going to be out in the RV during the week while the house is tented, so I've got to meal plan for that too, as well as gather clothes for work and play. But it's supposed to be cool and clear again, so I am hoping for a bike ride this weekend.

QoTD: I'm never sure. My Dad was Navy and deployed a lot. My Mom had a ton of rules, but she was not always stable, so we never knew what was going to be enforced. I'd say when Dad was home, the whole situation was more structured. But overall, they didn't take any crap from us kids and taught us we better be polite and respectful.

Menu:

B: chicken loaf and 1/4C cottage cheese

L: 3 oz carne asada, 1/4 C refried beans, sprinkle of cheese, Quest tortilla chips

D: Using up fridge items! Braised chicken thighs in a onion and mushroom reduction. A couple bites of rice I will make for the hubs.

S: glass of wine. Maybe a single piece of chocolate.

Peace Everyone!

I see you got the Quest tortillas on your menu. I got sick on them early on in my journey and I can not tolerate them . However I bought the Quevos an egg based chip I saw on Shark Tank and I am really liking them if your looking for a fun or new cracker substitute.

ohhhhhh, definitely ordering some of those! I've been very strict on allowing myself "chip" like things, as it's a real trigger for me, so I haven't tapped out yet. But I'm always on the hunt for a good crunch, so this looks like a great option.

Thank you!!

I have only tried the honey mustard but I really liked them. Yes cheese and crackers were always a go to pre surgery. Those damn Triscuits. They looked so innocent and healthy.

Mornin' All!

I have Mah Jongg this morning and then have a lot of stuff to do the rest of the day. I'm hosting a big lecture tomorrow morning for one organization and another one next week for another organization, and I have some odds and ends to finish up for both of them. And then there's reading for classes (and my now overdue library book which I HAVE to finish). I don't think the Arctic temps have hit us yet, but they will soon, so we'll be stuck in the house for the weekend and for a few days next week, too, so l should have plenty of time to do all this stuff!

QOTD: at the time I thought so, but in retrospect, they probably weren't any more strict than most of the other parents. They were pretty strict about school, though - but then my mom was a teacher and my dad was a professor, so....

B: plain Greek yogurt with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: turkey salad (made like I normally make chicken salad, but we have so much Costco turkey breast that I'm having to think of various ways to use it before it goes bad!)

AS: 2 Costco chicken skewers

D: Thai-style turkey curry (no rice)

have a great day, everyone!

this is what it's like trying to get work done in our house

Aldi has Cauliflower rice in a ready to heat Microwave packet. It only takes 90 seconds to heat. I made it with my coconut curry chicken the other day and I got to say it was good without adding carbs and calories.
