Hi Everyone! MadisonRose, I hope they get you feeling better soon. I got strep when I was in Australia years ago, ignored it for 3 weeks while I traveled and it took my immune system down hard. See if they recommend anything to help you boost your system or you will catch anything coming down the pike.
Work has been crazy but I am on a two hour call that I only need to listen to so thought I would jump on here.
QOTD - I had the flu when I was a freshman in college and was so sick for so long; I also had pneumonia three times in two years and coughed so hard I blacked out in a meeting so that was fun. Vaccines - both flu and pneumonia supporter right here!
Menu today

Italian Beef left overs
Cheddar cheese
Fairlife Milk warmed or built bar
Have a great day!

Good Morning Madison and Menuers,
I am so sorry your sickness has lasted so long. I have not been around over the weekend so I am not sure if you got a diagnosis yet. Last post I saw that all your test were coming back negative. The weight loss is a bonus but I am sorry it is such a crappy way to loose.
So my DB has been out of work due to pandemic since July. He is an obese man and he is 61 years old. But he is a great guy and a very hard worker. Anybody want to hire him? Well he went back and applied for a job he did when he was younger at a local grocery store. My brother learned from the best how to be a butcher. He worked in a slaughter house starting at the age of 16 till it burned down. I am guessing he was there at least 10 years if not longer. Then worked running a little butcher store for probably another 10-15 years till it had to close due to an owner getting a divorce and loosing it to he ex. So without having any unemployment because it ran out, he took a job with one of our big grocery store. Most recently he was a dispatcher for a trucking company that moved military equipment across the United State. It was a great Job for 30 year and it all stopped due to how these jobs are bid out. He had to be making $60,000 he is now working for $15.50 and hour. This makes me so sad. And on top of it he said Not even the management there actually knows how to cut meat. he said there is no finesse no pretty its just get it out in the case and sell it. From 6AM till Noon yesterday he cut 1500 lbs of sirloin. Management thanks him every day because he crushes it and since he started last Tuesday he has not worked less that 10 hours a day. Sunday was 12 hours. His first day on the job they asked him to work over and everyone left and left him on his first dy to close. Crazy you have a meat cutter that knows what he is doing but they have him scrubbing and mopping instead of cutting meat. I am just so mad that this is what it has come to for him.
Oh why did I tell you that? Because we share responsibility of taking care of Mom. He makes sure she has dinner every night and he drives her to bowling. Working 12 hour days does not leave him time for my mon. So tonight I need to get her to bowling and then pick her up around 9(usually my bed time) and make sure I have a dinner for her. For her sake I hope she likes curry and carb free dishes cause that is what she is getting. I hope this is not a weekly thing. Gah!!!!

Just an update....got back from the ENT. He took one look at my throat and said it still looks horrible. He just does not understand why it's not responding to the antibiotics. Tried two different ones now. He said he knows it's not viral because it would have already run it's course. Anyway, I got two more injections today and then he wants to try me on a different antibiotic. Told me to completely stop taking the other one because it was doing nothing for me. He also called in some hydrocodone for the pain. Wants to see me back next week. Said if I don't respond to this antibiotic he wants to do surgery.

In November 2015 I got really severe heartburn type pain right after eating. It started happening every night after dinner. The doctor prescribed some type of heartburn medicine. The episodes continued and in January he prescribed something stronger. The end of February there was no improvement, and he tried an even stronger medicine.
In March I was having so much pain, that I went back again. This is the doctor I have seen for 30 years. He said, "I know you. If you say you are in pain, then something is wrong. I can't find any reason for the pain but go over to the ER and tell them you have chest pain and they will check you out thoroughly.
At the ER, they could find nothing wrong, but decided to admit me for more tests and observation. It was on a Monday. Every day they did more tests and every time the tests came back completely normal. My weight, blood work, EKG's, various scans kept finding no problem. But the pain after eating continued.
On Thursday, they decided to do a chemical stress test. The medicine they gave me had me so sick and nauseous. The results of that test were that they found a blockage in the heart arteries. I was born with ridiculously small blood vessels and the plaque had built up in them despite my cholesterol, triglycerides, etc. being extremely low. They did a catherization and were going to put in a stent. But the surgeon said that my arteries were too narrow for the stent and that they would need to do a bypass instead.
They did a triple bypass, and I was in the hospital three week total and then two weeks in a nursing home. It was months of rehab before I got my energy and stamina back. The reason I only got the pain after eating is because when you eat the blood rushes to the stomach to process the food and I was losing the small amount that was getting to my heart.
I told the heart doctor that it seemed unfair that my husband drank, smoked, ate fatty red meats, was overweight and his heart was perfect. I had never drunk alcohol, never smoked, ate very small low fat meals, exercised, and watched my weight but ended up with the triple bypass. His answer was that with my small blood vessels, I would have been dead by thirty if I had lived like my husband.
