My Mom refused to get a flu shot and every Christmas and every new years she would be sick. I have gotten a flu shot every years since I had health insurance and there was not cost to me so probably for the last 35 years. So I told her before Covid-19 that we would do and experiment and she would get a flu shot this year. If she was still sick for the holiday I would not make her get another one. We got our shot and Holidays have come and went and she never got sick. OK now is it because we have been in quarantine for almost a year or was it the shot. Doesn't matter she'll be getting another one in 2021.

hey all thanks for starting out.

qOTD: I would say when I had twisted bowel after my RNY, and I had a hernia at the time. I was so backed up with POO that I could barely move.it was emergency surgery and could have died if the surgeon didn't catch it in time. Prior to that, I had mono and the antibiotic I was put on made my entire body swell up with gas. it was horrible.

l: stir fry/chicken

d: tuna?

s:cottage cheese

Good morning everyone and thanks for getting us started!

I so hope you get some answers and a good path forward to getting better!

My day looks to be pretty boring. I may do some light chainmailling but other than that...not much. Since I can't shower till Friday afternoon I don't want to get out. Yes I sponge bathe but I just feel icky still.

qotd: it's a mix. Sick was when I had the flu a couple years ago. So so soooo sick. Then the most miserable I've been is the day of my back surgery. That night I felt so so miserable and the meds did not help at all. Just made me feel high as a kite. The incision was just hurting so much.

b: oatmeal, 2 tbs pumpkin(spices too) and coffee

l: frozen meal I think...or just egg and sausage...haven't decided

d: whichever I don't have for lunch

s: popcorn, banana and a chai tea

DH couldn't handle the not showering even though I brought him Bath in a Bag. So on Day 4 he wrapped himself in saran wrap and used the spray nozzle from the shower to gently took a shower without getting the tape wet. We also got insurance approval this morning to move forward with his MRI and to schedule a surgery date. Hope it happens quickly. Hope you have as much success as he has.

I was shocked to have my MRI scheduled and approved fairly quickly. Of course it could be a long wait for me for a surgery. I'm really pleased with the pain relief. Not totally gone but I knew going in it wouldn't. I'm having pain where the leads are in but it's more annoying than anything!

Hoping that your DH gets it quickly!

Good morning, everybody!

I picked up Marilyn last night, so everybody who is supposed to be home is home. My middle son needs to pick out his housing for next year, so I am trying to help him access and complete those forms. Its due tomorrow, so hopefully it gets done today.

Yesterday, I got a PR power snatch, 130 pounds. The form wasn't perfect, but I got the bar up. One of my goals for this year is to do this workout called Isabell which is 30 135 pound snatches for time. I have pretty good stamina, so once I am strong enough to get 135 up, getting it 29 more times is actually the easier part.

QOTD: Right around Y2K, I got really sick and the virus spread to my heart causing me congestive heart failure. I went to the hospital and got 45 pounds of fluid removed.

Breakfast: protein bar

lunch: Mahi burger

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

My ejection fraction was 20 in the hospital (February). Fortunately, it was back to normal (55-60) by Christmas. I still take one Beta Blocker.
