Good morning! Gosh I am cold. I don't know how you guys live in the snow! LOL.
Update for brown dog. Poor guy. The bad news is that he has arthritis in his left hip already AND that he appears to be genetically a fat boy. The good news is that all the metabolic stuff came back perfect. So he doesn't have thyroid issues or anything like that. We are moving to a prescription food (oh the $$$!!! ugh!) that is for weight reduction and joint health. He's 93 pounds and they want us to aim for 70. Poor Monte. 2021 isn't looking that fun for him in the food bowl.
QoTD: I eat all sorts of new things! Cottage cheese, spicy food, fish and swapping red wine for white. All new and weird for me. Ribeye hates me, which is sad.
Menu:
B: 2 oz chicken loaf, 1/4 C cottage cheese
L: 3 oz turkey breast, 10 Parm Crisps, 1 tbsp guacamole
D: 1 cup homemade chili with 1 oz avo, 1 tsp sour cream, 1 tbsp shredded cheddar
S: if needed, jerky, and possibly fake mocha tonight.
Peace Everyone!

one of our cats was on a diet (with the prescription food - and he's still on it for maintenance). He lost his excess weight, so the vet was ecstatic, but he is hungry ALL THE TIME. He's in the fridge every time it opens, on the counter every time I'm eating or cooking something (thankfully dogs can't jump up on counters) and meows all the time for food. UGH. Too bad they don't have WLS for pets! (well, I'm sure they COULD do it, but they don't.. And who'd want to pay for that?)
Good Morning Supershopper and Menuers,
Hope everyone is happy it is hump day. I am having a good day so far. Monday was awful for my diet and I reigned it in yesterday and feeling much better about me today. I hope I can continue this through the weekend. I really would like to get back to my low weight but this weather does not help when I can't get outside to escape the kitchen. I see the light at the end of the tunnel considering the sun is setting later and later. I even was feeling so guilty yesterday about not working out I was able to get a run in after work since it was dry and in the 40's. Hopefully there will be a few nice days sprinkled in here and there so I can get outside.
QOTD: Water. I never drank much water pre surgery. I never just drank a glass of water for hydration but now I do not allow myself to eat my next meal until I get in at least 20-25 oz of water. I can not eat Microwaved meat. It does not agree with my pouch and I get sick most times if I reheat meat in the microwave.
Accountability. Beside 1/2 pack of Key lime Pie M&M's I was pretty much on track.
